I'll never ever eeeeever understand why Billboard weight airplay so heavily, like ...that's not really a metric of genuine popularity?! Its so baffling.

Not sure what the 18M figure is about, the article has Leave The Door Open on 87 million radio airplay audience impressions and Levitating on 59.7 million, which is a 27.3M difference?

 

Anyway, I've never been keen on the way Billboard includes airplay data, I've always been against the idea of including that in the charts.

Such a mess. Airplay does seem like a crazy thing to count towards the chart when the fans have no control over it.
