As the top end of the chart keeps a stranglehold in my affections, only Sophie Ellis-Bextor sneaks in with her first top 10 since Bittersweet hit 7 in 2020. Meanwhile Bon Jovi get a first top 20 in 11 years and only their 3rd this century. Erasure take the 1988 classic into the 20 as current track Nerves Of Steel gives a 2nd new top of 2020. Roisin Murphy leaps into the top 30 with Something More, her 3rd of 2020, while veterans Pretenders also get a second top 40 of 2020, namechecking Barcelona where I was the other week, and NYC, where I was in 1989. A quiet week for new entries, with 90's top 10 The Wannadies cover You & Me Song entering at 68 in a nice version from Joy Crookes. Hi James! :) Miley Cyrus is pretty much guaranteed a long chart run, she's in the running for best track of 2020 given Blinding Lights came out in 2019 so doesn't count :) Yes Sophie's is a soundalike version of Alcazar, but as you say it suits her (and I've finally worked out what some of the lyrics are now as her diction is slightly clearer :lol: ) I need to play Magic some more, will download it later for my car CD cheers!
