Posted November 29, 200618 yr Lovely to have BJ back :cheer: Just bringing this over from Devoted, with thanks to RosieL Val here posting on Rosie's sign on. Just nipped into Rosie's office from a gig and just want to quickly let you know that we saw Will perform two songs tonight at this gig we went to. He sang two songs 'Superman Lover' and 'I Love You More Than You Ever know' - he looked fantastic, grey shoes, grey trousers, and waistcoat, white long sleeve shirt, and bakerboy cap - loads of stubble -and looked incredibly sexy - his singing was fantastic and he was very well received by everyone there. He was relaxed and happy and smiled throughout both songs. How much would I have liked to have been there  They got a both songs on Rosie's mobile so hopefully we'll get to hear them :yahoo:
November 29, 200618 yr Thanks for bringing the news over Lainey. :cheer: Can't wait to hear more Bet Will is in his element at the moment doing what he loves & not being worn down by the promo merrygoround. :D
November 29, 200618 yr Thanks Lainey posted by sleepless in hampshire on devoted  Well, I thought this gig was going to be good but I really didn't expect to be quite so blown away. The whole thing was awesome! They opened with 'Two Tribes' (Frankie goes to Hollywood song) , played numerous huge hits from 'Rubber Bullet' to 'Get Back' to 'Space Oddity' to 'Everybody wants to rule the world' to 'Slave to the rhythm' (my mind is spinning, I heard so many huge tracks I can't remember them). They had numerous guest artists, including Anne Dudley, and all of them were fantastic. It was just brilliant music from start to finish. I didn't notice Will come onto the stage and couldn't see very well from where I was standing. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when Stephen Lipson said something about his friend Will and then I saw a hat and realised he was actually going to sing (I could only see him from the shoulders up if I stood on tiptoe but what the heck!) He sang as well as he ever has, and the audience (which seemed to be full of music industry people) loved him. Lots of men at the back were shouting for more. He really was good, but the night would have been brilliant anyway. I wish I'd had a camera but I hadn't known Will would be there and my phone doesn't take pictures. Lots of people seemed to be holding phones up, don't know if they were taking pictures or ringing friends. I didn't have the presence of mind to do anything but listen. If The Producers do any more gigs (they may be doing a mini tour), they are fantastic, I'd really recommend them Edited November 29, 200618 yr by BanYellowm+m's

November 29, 200618 yr Posted on the OS. This event had been sold out for weeks & tickets were like gold dust. Most of the tickets went to people from the music industry & very few were available for the public. It was always going to be a special night, with or without Will, & anyone who bought tickets all those weeks ago was very, very, lucky. As expected, the gig was fantastic. Everyone involved was very good. The Producers are extremely experienced song writers and musicians who really made it all look easy. They were stupendous. Will seems to feed off other talented people and he became even better. He really did surpass himself. The room was full of people who live and breathe music, and they were obviously impressed. But they already know how exceptional he is. No-one expressed any surprise, just enjoyment. He's one talented man. :yahoo:

November 29, 200618 yr review from Val....sounds fantatic! :cheer: Am Home Now so heres my report of the night. Fantastic Gig,not just because Will was there,he was the icing on the cake. Most of you have probably read the bit on The Producers. Well this gig was like a jamming session, only 400 people in quite a small space.Perfect venue! Took me back to when I used to go to the village hall but these guys wern't budding artists. The've been there and done it! What a fab evening of Live music. All brilliant musicians in their own right but together just Awesome! The audience consisted of whos who in music There was a sixth Producer called Ash Soan on Percussion and by chance I got chatting to his daughter in the ladies after. We had a conversation about the gig and how brilliant it was.I asked her if this was just a one off gig as I'd definitely go to see them again and she said at the moment, but they would like to do a tour and to keep looking at the web. Just a little something which made me smile while I was sat on the loo I could hear two women talking saying " I didn't realise we were going to see Superstars tonight" If they do a mini tour I would say do go to see them if you have the chance. They had 3 special guests,a guy called David Jordon, can't remember the middle guys name and OH yes the third guest was The Man Himself! Well I've already explaned what he was wearing and how gorgeous he looked with Stubble Steve Lipson introduced him and said that he had worked alot with this guest and what a lovely man he was . He got a tremendos round of applause from everyone there before and during and after his performance. Someone from the back shouted that they liked his cap and he laughed and said it was to cover his bald patch or thatch He was in his element in this intimate setting,it was just a room really with a bar at the back.Everybody seemed to know somebody there. I think Susie already mentioned Ann Dudley came on and did a number on the keyboards too. I did record on my mobile phone a few numbers but having problems transfering on to pc as not techy minded and Rosie has video. This was the Song Set List if your interested: 1. Two Tribes ( I recorded this and it was fantastic) 2. Into the Great wide open 3. Invisible 4. Elstree 5. Do it Again 6. Only Living Soul 7. Rubber Bullets 8. Space Oddity ( I recorded this) 9. Everybody wants to Rule The World 10. Nutcracker 11. Get Back 12. Slave to the Rhythm 13. Donna 14. SUPERMAN LOVER (recorded this) 15. ILYMTYWEK (recorded this) 16. This is the Night 17. Video Killed a Radio Star 18. I'm not in Love 19. Gimme some Lovin ( love this song and what a way to end the gig) :cheer: He got a tremendos round of applause from everyone there before and during and after his performance. oh god..
November 29, 200618 yr Cheers for that other report SWF from Val, how lucky was she to be in the right place at the right time? I could never be that lucky, :( Will will probably be working with these again on his next album, he seems to be very good friends with all of them, especially Anne Dudley and Steve Lipson and that Godley guy from Godley&Creme and 10cc.
November 30, 200618 yr Blimey how on earth did they find out about this? And how did they get tickets? Sounds very obscure , lucky them :cheer:

I've never had any desire to live down south untill Will came on the scene. Try living in the north-east, :( though I still dream of him performing at the Sage one day.
November 30, 200618 yr Blimey how on earth did they find out about this? And how did they get tickets? Sounds very obscure , lucky them :cheer: Apparently Karen Poole mentioned it on her blog on Myspace. She was trying to get a ticket for Will and he said not to bother because he was performing. She couldn't even get a ticket for her boyfriend but they went in with Will  I'm not a member so I'll never get to read her blog so I've put out a pleas on D for any info. She seems to know what Will is doing ;) Edited November 30, 200618 yr by munchkin

Wasn't that room full of music industry peeps. :yahoo: Yes it was. The quote came from a chap called Roy Thompson who took the picture on his phone and these comments mean far more than anything the gutter press care to write as 'news'.
