October 27, 20204 yr Would probably make sense in theory to add Spotify playlists to the veto framework yes (it's been a while since the last time the framework was updated and some aspects of it are definitely outdated) but unless I'm being dumb I don't think there is a way to search for what playlists songs are on/have been on? New Music Friday in particular also only lasts 7 days at a time so unless people are picking a song off the current one it'd be hard to know it was on there. I don't know if that comment was in relation to Julia Michaels or just in general but if Julia has been put on big Spotify playlists it's hardly done her much good - the song charted in a grand total of 3 countries, lasting 2 days in the chart in Sweden and Norway and 1 day in Taiwan. Lol ~
October 27, 20204 yr Fun fact my last few entries have all been from NMF but not the week the semi-finals are held. You could find some songs with less than 100 views and it will be a bit strange to veto them XD
October 27, 20204 yr NMF beyond like the first 15 songs each week is mostly stuff that wouldn't be anywhere near worth vetoing, they do showcase some pretty obscure stuff, it's not like there are ever anywhere near 100 major mainstream releases each week!

NMF also varies from country to country so it would make it impossible for people not from the UK to determine whether the song is on the UK NMF or not :lol:

October 27, 20204 yr As far as I was aware NMF was a random collection of new tracks and of songs that record labels were paying to promote. My view is that if a song gets enough streams we’d see it in the daily charts (where it’d pick up veto points) and that gives a more quantitative view of if a song is widely known than just appearing on the NMF playlist. It’s hard to track and you’d have too much being caught out by it on a rather arbitrary basis

October 27, 20204 yr Just noticed imaduck forgot to actually change the link to his song when he reconfirmed so it was still linking to GRANT lol (appropriate given that it accidentally appeared twice to begin with in PJSC the other month as well xx). I've changed the link, there's only one upload of that Sophia Gripari song on YouTube so hopefully that should be the right thing ~ Anyways, the song I alluded to in the confirmations thread that I was expecting to see showing up here is Singerpurear's, so sending some big hype their way this month! A massive earworm and much better than the previous Lucia & The Best Boys entry that DNQed earlier in the year, I can see this one doing really well. Hype to Utopia as well of course, as I also mentioned in the confirmations thread that's one I sent to PJSC recently (and it came 6th there so again hopefully a good sign it'll do well here too). Happen to have been drawn in the same semi as both of those so it'll be a somewhat higher bar than usual for any new discoveries to make the top 2 of my votes! I'm excited to hear Klum Rep's song in particular, I love most of the stuff I've heard from Death Grips but have never dug back in their discog ~ Hype 4 Numayania and Aeroche in the other semi too. x YouTube is telling me that I have already 'liked' Summericia's entry but I don't recognise the title so I'm not sure where I've come across it before, I'll see if it rings a bell when I hear it again I guess!
