Ashley I have to admit, I don't know what on earth I would be listening to now, if she had become an English teacher as she was going to.

Since April last year I've been listening to Fires constantly, each time finding another new sound, and instrument.

 

Have you seen her live yet?

4 times this year for me, and 2 in January next year, she truly is fantastic.

 

Not yet, I'm quite a newly converted fan. I bought the album just before Sophia was released and never really gave it a chance. Then one night, I listened to it and it was like a revelation!!! :lol: I know exactly what you mean about hearing all the new instruments every time you listen - the songs are so brilliantly produced. My favourite is Mr King - it's just the most brilliant song EVER. Bought Dear Frustrated Superstar the other day which is great too. Hopefully going to see her next year in Sheffield and/or Manchester.

I'd rank the album as my favourite of all time, every song is divine, I've grown to love it all, however All Good People (in my eyes) sligtly lowers the bar & I used to think Nickindia did too, but I've grown to love it so much!

 

Defo check her out if you have the cash at one of the dates, you'll get to hear quite a bit of unreleased stuff hopefully, and one or two new songs that are in the pipeline, that are fantastic!

I wasn't sure on the album when I first got it, but after more listens it really grew on me. She's a real talent.

 

I think 'All Good People' is catchy, my favourites on there are 'Halfway Home', 'Sophia', 'Geek Love' and of course EGTW which is one of my favourite songs of the year. :wub:

My favs is All Good People, Sophia, Everybody;s Gone To War and Geek Love.

The album is really good actually.

I found out Nerina is playing in my city on boxing day, I might had gone had it not been so short noice/such an inconvenient day.

Tobes, she is amazing live! I totally agree, was so gutted when my gig got pushed to january :(

I was even more gutted!

The Bristol gig fell exactly on my 18th birthday, and she promised she'd sing Happy Birthday to me!

 

But then she announced a gig in Penzance (right by me) and said that she had me in mind :P which was awesome.

LTB has been pushed back a week to the 8th of January, can't say I'm surprised, btu the video play has started to pick up which is a good thing!

I was watching a TOTP 2 a few weeks back and saw Nerina performing "Sophia". It was a beautiful track and her voice was awesome. :) I didn't even notice it chart. Anyone know where it reached?

32!! A chart travesty. I recall "Everybody's Gone To War" just missed the 10 in the summer!

EGTW got to 11. I think it was really overplayed though before it's release and had been selling on iTunes for ages before it's release. All the TV channels, Radio 1 and Radio2 all gave EGTW an absolute hammering.

EGTW got to #14. That was a track that deserved top 10 if ever there was one. :(

 

I think pushing 'Learning To Breathe' back a week won't help it's cause, as it needs a low sales week to get a higher position and raise it's profile for the album.

I've started seeing LTB on the Hits which is nice. I bet radio 2 A list soon :lol:

I was completely shocked at EGTW's position at the time, I was expecting comfortable top 5. :(

 

I also hope that 'Learning To Breathe' becoming a single may help it grow on me...

This is going to flop. :( I hope it does something for the excellent album though. :wub:

Don't be so pessimistic!

I don't think it'll reach the top 10, but I think it's a good top 20 record!

 

As for EGTW, I think by the end of it Nerina thought it was over promoted, I think 2 weeks earlier, it would have been top 5, without a shadow of a doubt.

 

As long as the album keeps selling :P

Good news, means that LTB must have got the nod from the emap channels!
