The Spice Girls album 'Forever' is out on vinyl on Friday 20th November, and the fans are very keen for it to re-enter the UK album chart next week.

 

A fan campaign has been launched to help us achieve that, including downloading and streaming the album.

We're also hoping that the album can make the official download Top 100 chart. Usually it only takes about 50 sales to make it into that chart!

It would just be nice to see it chart anywhere again, however that is achieved! Lots of fans do similar campaigns for their favourite artists. Louis Tomlinson returned to #1 on iTunes recently.

If you mean overall numbers pressed, that isn't known... but it's not said to be a limited release. This could be considered as being a bit of a niche album to have on vinyl though, so I guess no more than a few thousand worldwide?

My mum was a single parent when it came out and struggling with money big time but she still got it me on release day (and my sister Westlife). Might sound nothing but 2 cd albums then was nearly £25.

 

The album was my escape from the crap times that Christmas 2000. People can mock but for some people just seeing it top 100 on itunes is a great feeling.

Spiceworld didn't make the top 100 when released on Vinyl earlier this year, so it feels like a tough ask...best of luck with it, though!

:wub: Thank you. Forever pre-orders on Amazon UK were surprisingly quite a bit stronger than Spiceworld's - I hope it was enough to be able to make the Top 200!

It's brilliant to see it in the iTunes chart, no matter how low that means in terms of sales! In fairness Friday is a difficult day to choose, considering there's so many new releases out... presumably Friday is the best selling day for downloads. I was wondering if Top 100 was possible, so I'm glad it has at least managed to achieve that! It's not easy to convince people to repurchase something that they've owned for many years :kink:

 

Oh wow, just seen the album has shot up to #50!

Top 50 is great, never thought it would get that high.

This ended up reaching a high of #45 on iTunes and #12 on Amazon! It's currently within the Top 60 on iTunes.

 

My main hope is that it can somehow muster up about 60 download sales this week, and therefore have a good chance of making the download Top 100 chart. We'll see!

Either way Forever is going to have its best sales week in over 18 years. Currently streaming it.

Forever has dipped out of the iTunes Top 100 now, but it was great to see it within the Top 100 for most of Friday & Saturday. Thanks to anyone here who has contributed!

76 in the mids, that's not bad given what an insanely competitive week it is with so many new releases.

From #38 on Saturday to #76 today I guess means this has no chance of hanging on to a Top 100 place officially - such a shame would have loved to see it return to the charts for a week!

Me too. Back up to #187 on Itunes right now, would be nice to see it make the download album chart as well as vinyl, sales and top 200 main chart.
