January 2, 20214 yr I felt this was more a teaser/new year special episode to get us excited for the proper start next week where the queens are split into two so I've not taken it as much more than that. I feel it's taken a bit of hype away from the opener as we didn't get to see the queens interact very much and became a predictable format after a while, but I do feel like I know all the queens from the off and I'm glad none are going just yet! I think S12 did this better though so hopefully they'll revert next year! I hope the twist of the queens voting off one of themselves is not true as I don't feel it's fair to knock one out when they don't have ANYTHING to go off at all. In Allstars it works as everyone knows everyone and you can base it off the performance that week or their track record, this format seems like drama for the sake of it and not particularly nice to watch? Early favourites are Symone, Denali and Gottmik. Really didn't enjoy any of the queens in the last lipsync despite Tina obviously putting on a good show. I get a kinda nasty undertone from her and definitely no warmth! Kahmora has done nothing but annoy me so far and seems very big-headed for what is a basic look which revolves around a designer name rather than any creativity.
January 2, 20214 yr Kahmora has given me first out vibes since the cast reveal and this did nothing to dissaude that, I'm sure her whole "designer rich white lady realness" schtik is fine at a show but when it's Drag Race you really need more than that.
January 3, 20214 yr Author I really enjoyed the episode. Looks like there is going to be some Rosé vs Tina drama ahead. Symone's skin was so radiant! Early favourites are Utica, Symone, Tina & Olivia. The cast seems quites strong though! I can't wait to see what they do in the actual challenges in the coming weeks.
January 3, 20214 yr Symone :wub:...even out of drag she seems to be so likeable and made for camera!!! Also was impressed with Olivia lipsync cause originally I had impression she will be someone who’s going to leave first.
January 3, 20214 yr Tina is definitely serving villain vibes over here. There's a difference between confidence and being unnecessarily shady/nasty. Kandy and Tina are by far my least favourites at this point. Kahmora is just meh but she's third from the bottom for sure. And it's the complete opposite for Tamisha compared to the Meet The Queens intro. She gave such a good first impression. Denali, Symone (I agree that she was the best lipsyncer there) and Gottmik are also my favs from the first episode. I still LOVE Utica Queen but I'm waiting until she starts serving it in the challenges to form my full opinion. Rosé is really funny and I hope she doesn't get a Jan treatment this season too.
January 4, 20214 yr I never posted my thoughts on the epislde. I loved Olivia, Rosé, Gottmik, Utica, Denali, Symoné and Tamisha on first episode. Some I feel will grow on me as time goes on but I am really looking forward to see how these queens do. I don't think Rosé was pissed Olivia beat her I think it was the whole situation with the twist that threw her :lol: As for enterence looks not much stood out. Gottmik, Olivia, Denali, Kandy, Utica was my faves tbh. I loved how inspired the lip sync songs were tbh and we finally got Lady Marmalade. Tina, Kandy and Olivia killed their lip syncs. I will say I wish they didn't choose When I Grow Up for the PCD one. Buttons or I Don't Need A Man is right there. Not my favourite premire, did get reptitive editing wise.

January 4, 20214 yr I’m disappointed we got When I Grow Up for a second time as well- the only other non Ru songs that have been repeated were Stronger by Britney and Nasty by Janet which both got fairly unmemorable first lipsyncs so I saw the reason they were brought back but the original WIGU lipsync was LIGHTYEARS better than the one from Denali and Lala and there are so many other PCD songs screaming for a lipsync? Hush Hush, Hush Hush, Buttons, I Don’t Need a Man heck even I Hate This Part and Beep could make cute lipsyncs As someone who looks forward to the lipsyncs mostly I think you can tell I’m deeply offended we didn’t get a new PCD lipsync
