Posted April 4, 200619 yr What u guys reckon to this 4th single to be taken from supernature there 3rd album Its alright imo Radio 1 playlist Matt
April 6, 200619 yr it isn`t necessarily the best choice but very good one and i think it will do quite good in UK, because it`s quite catchy and relates to wider public.
April 6, 200619 yr I hate it. I'm a big fan of Goldfrapp and to me, this is the worst song on the entire album. Wish they'd have chosen something else. :(
April 6, 200619 yr Is a fourth single from the same album really necessary...? I really hate it when bands do this, I dont really think that it's necessary to release more than three songs from the same album - unless it's a double...
April 6, 200619 yr Is a fourth single from the same album really necessary...? I really hate it when bands do this, I dont really think that it's necessary to release more than three songs from the same album - unless it's a double... Pretty much everyone releases 4 singles now. 5 is becoming more and more common and some bands do 6...
April 6, 200619 yr I cant see any justification for more than three. Six is just taking the piss.... How to screw yet more money out of people.....You dont even get any interesting B-Sides which are unavailable anywhere else anymore, just sh!tty remixes.... We've just had our first number one on the strength of Internet downloads - the shape of things to come if you ask me....
April 6, 200619 yr It's just done to sell the album. Not many bands really care about singles now anyway, they don't sell enough. They just release them so it gets played on the radio and more people buy it. I know the Editors and Hard-Fi have just released/about to release the 6th singles off their debut albums. Highly pointless. I think the Arctic Monkeys have got it right tbh. Release 1ep, release 2 singles, then release the album. Say they'll release no more singles off it and release another 5 track ep with 4 new tracks on...
April 6, 200619 yr The way that some Indie bands used to do it back in the early 90s would be to release two 4-track EPs, then do an album and then another 4-track EP with one of the album tracks on it...
April 6, 200619 yr 4 is the norm for singles from an album IMO, no more and no less. 5 I can accept if it's a good album and still selling well, 6 would be milking it totally. :o
