In July 2020 I started to compile my retrospective weekly chart for 1970 year. But only seven charts were finished, because my PC don't work anymore and I lost all database of singles, which I prepared for 70s charts.

"Gražios Dainos" ("Beautiful songs" on Lithuanian) is retrospective music chart with my favourite songs on each week.

Special thanks to :

- 45cat (for big database of retro songs)

- popchartfreak and his retro weekly charts (for the inspiration)

- all acts, which will have any songs in this chart (for their music)

Hi Alex,

quite a few obscure gems in here :) Shame about the pc dying, I know the feeling, mine died 8 years ago and I had to struggle to convert Microsft Works (a dead format) charts to an Apple Mac my dad gave me. Now this laptop is full, pretty much, and I need another new one!

I see the Morrissey-inspiring Heaven Knows I'm Missing Him Now in there, along with future gorgeous Agnetha track If I Thought You'd Ever Change Your Mind. Cilla's version is lovely. Also the great Bobbie Gentry's cover with Glen Campbell is fab. She was critically-lauded as a song-writer and hot new Country act...and then retired within 5 years never to return to music. Nobody knows where she even is today! Biljo is sweet, and Mary Hopkin was always good.

With 2 new entries there are three singers with the same name, all from different countries (Jackie Lee - Ireland, Jackie De Shannon - United States, Jackie Trent - United Kingdom).

Judy Collins - Both Sides Now was recorded and became my # 1 in 1968 year.

Jackie De Shannon :

Jackie De Shannon is always good, Jackie Trent (aka Mrs Tony Hatch, the man who writes the fab 60's songs for Petula Clark and his missus and others) decent, and Arrival was a nice one :)

Both new entries came from YouTube recommendations, when I listened Heidi Bruhl and Peggy March.

# 1 song about skirts sizes is my biggest retro discovery in 2020 and already a contender for all-time top 100.

German schlager singer Evelyn Van Ophuisen chose her pseudonym Daisy Door with reference to Doris Day.

No changes at # 1, but our leader can feel a strong breath of Welsh beauty.

Mary Hopkin already outperformed her # 6 in UK with brand new single "Temma Harbour".

Heidi Bruhl got top 10 result with German language cover of popular hit again. Now it's "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head".

Weak start for new Sandie Shaw song, her previous single spent a month on the top of my chart.
