Would be great to see Toyota back on the grid or have Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen but I just can't see that happening. The last thing we want if there are new teams is another Campos/Hispania/HRT situation.

Exactly, I don't want 12 teams on the grid again just for the sake of it. Especially when 25% of the grid won't have a cat in hell's chance of scoring a single point. That 2010 season was a bit of a joke with Lotus, HRT & Virgin racing.

The ideal for me is a bigger grid but with a lot closer speed differentials so that you literally have no clue who will be in any of the points positions come sunday.

Coz the entire Hybrid era has been so dull. I am so over the Merc domination. I really REALLY want Red Bull to win this year. i know they will be insufferable c**ts but I need a change, the sport needs the change.

Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz will start this weekend's Turkish Grand Prix from the back of the grid as a result of an engine-related penalty.

Sainz's car will be fitted with a new power-unit - taking him over his permitted number of engines for the year.

F1 have been forced to replace the medical car crew for Turkish GP in a last-minute change after both tested positive for coronavirus.

It's not yet confirmed but the administrators of the Emilia-Romagna region claim to have agree a four year deal for Imola to host a race from next year onwards.

Paul Ricard is expected to be dropped (awaits cheers)

Won't miss Paul Ricard but France deserves a race. Secondly, whilst Imola is majestic, it's not great for overtaking, unless next years regulations really do change everything

Agree that Imola isn't the best for overtaking but it has that proper old-school feel to it and mistakes are punished very much unlike the Paul Ricard car-park so that's a swap I'm very much in favour of (although France was decent tbf this season).

Bring back Magny-Cours I say, underrated circuit.

Hamilton will take a 10 place grid penalty in Turkey for having his ICE replaced.

Expecting Bottas to hold up Verstappen is like sitting on a deck chair in the snow hoping for a sun tan.
Expecting Bottas to hold up Verstappen is like sitting on a deck chair in the snow hoping for a sun tan.

Bottas is more likely to grab the deck chair and smash Max over the back of the head with it, a la Hungary

Gasly sandwiched? Aye sure hun and I’ll be on the cover of mens health next month

See we call all make up f***ing wild lies that no one believes

I thought that was a decent race even if not at the heights that this season has reached. Difficult to know whether Mercedes threw away a podium but to compare to Ocon, when Hamilton pitted he was 2 seconds ahead of Stroll and 20 ahead of Giovanazzi, finished 20 behind and less than 1 ahead, so he completely fell off a cliff towards the end, entirely possible Perez and maybe Leclerc would've still caught and overtaken him.
If he hadn’t pitted you know he would have been crying at the end as he was being overtaken saying “why didn’t we pit”. Hindsight is 20/20 and Hamilton would have cried either way, it’s just his personality

Thought it was a nice race, Im team Carlos Sanz so it was probably his best race ever in F1 yet, he passed everybody! :)

Perez also had a great race, holding Hamilton as he did

Mercedes played it too safe with Hamilton

McLaren were kinda MIA, especially Ricchiardo, easily the worst driver yesterday

It's going to be very interesting to see how this title fight pans out.

The Merc looks very strong now, comfortably the fastest car but Lewis still seems to be off his game slightly.

Max is driving the better of the two overall but has been unlucky that his lead isn't bigger.

COTA is a Merc stronghold and they should dominate the race there

Mexico traditionally favours Red Bull

Brazil may well be pretty even but perhaps favours Max

Qatar and Saudi are a total unknown

Abu Dhabi is a tough call but Max won convincingly last year against a weak Lewis so could go either way.

I'd say Max is marginally favourite and he's in the better form but the resurgence of Mercedes power looks to threaten his chances. if Lewis wins the title he will at least have had to earn it but if he does so whilst still on current form he would be very fortuitous and perhaps not the most worthy of the two

Really impossible to call anything with only 6 points and 6 races to go. As Toto says a DNF just throws everything so can understand Merc playing it safe last race. My two cents is had Lewis not pitted he'd had been 4th at best so it was only the smallest of small oversights. And there was also the possibility of the tyres falling off completely. All about damage limitation like with Max in Russia so it's pretty much as you were post-Italy again.

I disagreed with the Gasly penalty, that was super-harsh. First corner on lap 1 on a wet track the stewards are usually less strict but ever since the Norris penalty in Austria they've gone back to their over-penalising ways of 2018.

Fernando got the same pen for a similar move on Mick Schumacher (and fair enough) and you can’t penalise Fernando for what he did to Mick but not hit Pierre for the same move on Fernando. Wet or not Pierre was reckless, him claiming he was sandwiched when you could fit a double decker on its side between him and all the non-Alonso cars doesn’t wash.

Second damp Turkish race in a row that our race has been ruined at turn one by a complete moron losing control and spinning us round round baby round round. Turkey can stay off the calendar pls

I haven't re-watched the one with Mick but yes at least they were consistent. They had to give that one after the Gasly incident but I personally would have let both slide. Wouldn't say it was reckless, he just understeered and the outcome was unfortunate. Definitely wasn't sandwiched though I agree, I thought Perez was closer to him on his left but on the replay he was nowhere near.
