Dance mods, please can this be pinned! :heart:

 

Thought seeing as this trend has really blown up in 2020 and looks set to continue into the future that a new thread should be started to catalogue any samples or cover versions of previous songs turned into dance songs in 2021.

 

Myself & JOTA will endeavour to keep a playlist on the front page of any such releases that came about in this year.

 

Oh God, this is gonna be the most loaded topic at the end of 2021 as almost every second release is a cover of a cover of a...

Wow never thought I would hear a dance cover of Elton John's Sacrifice. Unfortunately I don't like that cover that much. I love the synths of the original so I prefer this remix from last year that was in the recommended suggestions after I listened to the Moses remix.

 

 

It has got me started on an idea though, someone should try and do mash-ups of 90s ballads with parts of instrumentals from dance songs that were in the chart at the same time. That would be really fun to do but hard to get something that sounded good from it though.

I am surprised there wasn't a looped house remix of 'Died In Your Arms Tonight' making the charts in the mid 00s when remixes of 80s songs were popular.

These three are quite classy covers actually! As lewistgreen would say, Through 2 You SLAPS! I was hoping the dance cover of Marillion's Kayleigh was going to be good and it started off well but when the vocal came in it became disappointing imo :( the cover of MJ's Billie Jean is quite good though.

Another couple I added to the playlist last night from yesterday’s releases;

 

 

That Wicked Game cover is not as good imo as the Parra for Cuva cover that was a hit several years ago.

 

That Infinity cover is a bit better, interesting enough but still not that great.
