Holders Liverpool have been drawn against 2005 winners Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup.

Manchester United were also handed a tough home tie against Martin O'Neill's Aston Villa.

Paul Ince's Macclesfield will travel to Premiership champions Chelsea.

Portsmouth face Wigan and Everton meet Blackburn Rovers in all-Premiership ties, while the winners of Aldershot and Basingstoke will go to Blackpool.

Full draw to follow soon.

I think we'll win this 2-1, assuming Wenger plays our best 11. I know it's at anfield, but if we play well I think we'll go through. I think we'll lose the carling cup one though. :(

Well I hope we win but it just depends what starting XI's are played. If Arsenal were at home then I think you'd win pretty easily. :( But as its at Anfield I think Liverpool may win, but it'll be close.

AW will probably be a stubborn idiot and play Song  Here's hoping Gerrard gets a long term injury.

If he does then we will be ****ed. :( We'll only have Alonso as a centeral midfielder and then probably either Hyypia, Agger or Carra as a makeshift midfielder. :(

Bad draw for Sunderland. When I saw PNE i went Sunderland and then it came up. Hopfuly we won't do as bad as in the league losing 4-1.

I don't like all Premiership ties at this stage, it's far more fun to play a lower league side - for both teams.

I don't think they will. we are getting better wining four games on the trot we could go far in this cup. :D

Coventry at home - not a bad draw really, as we are pretty good at Ashton Gate. Bet I can guess the main live game on Match Of The Day though............. ;)

i do, makes it more intresting latter on in the competition instead of having like just premiership teams from the 1/4 finals. Thats the beauity of the Fa Cup.

I agree - be nice to see a big club knocked out right at the start. All we need now is a Chelsea/Man Utd 4th round tie (assuming both get through). Football doesn't revolve solely around the Premiership. Hopefully a less-fancied team like West Ham can go all the way to the final again....

Well one of either Arsenal or Liverpool is definitley going out very early on.

I think a team like Boro, Reading, Spurs, Newcastle or Everton will win the FA Cup this year. I think the 'bigger' teams will be more focused on the Champions League and the League this year so they probably won't be too fussed about the FA Cup.

Tough game for Arsenal especially away, hope wenger plays his best team.

Indeed. Upsets happen but they're rare. With 4 Premiership ties it's probably about 3 less Prem teams in the next round which can only be a good thing!

oo Man U game will be tough but am sure they will scrape thru

Also comeeee on Brighton  if Hammers carry on playin like they are then we actually ave a chance woo

good Chelsea have Macclesfield that will be a good game. :D
