I'm impressed that Under Control isn't the lowest of Calvin's #1s, it sure feels like the most forgotten by far!

I think you're right, I can't for the life of me remember how it goes now!

Gangnam Style PSY (Voters: SevenSeize- 2 points, Dircadirca- 10 points, Mack- 12 points, Jackjones- 3 points, coi- 18 points, King Rollo- 12 points)

No 1 for 1 week in October 2012- the 80s had “Agadoo”, the 90s “Macarena”, the 00’s “Cha Cha Slide” so here we are in the 2010s….This is our first elimination to get votes from 6 of you!

2016 really wasn't a great year for number 1s so not surprised it's faring badly, but Closer is decent.

Lily Allen does really irritate me but that cover isn't bad at all and I do really like the piano intro.

Gangnam Style was... a moment.

Love it or loathe it, you can't deny the cultural impact of 'Gangnam Style' so it's kind of a shame not to see it in the Top 100.
Lily's version of 'Somewhere Only We Know' is a nice cover but doesn't really hold a candle to the original. The other two there are both pretty good, as are 'Roar' and 'Summer' (and I liked 'Hall Of Fame' at the time though it's a bit of a cheesefest in retrospect x)
I always thought Keane were singing "sympathy". It was only when I heard Lily Allen's version that I realised it was "simple thing" as she pronounces it a bit better. I obviously prefer Keane's version but I like her cover as well.
I believe Gabrielle Aplin - The Power Of Love was the first John Lewis associated chart topper, Lily Allen was the following year!
The Lily Allen cover was obviously not as good as the original but it was still pretty good and up there with the best John Lewis advert songs. Closer was fine, and Gangnam Style was iconic and although it's a bit of a shame that it couldn't be in the top 100 here that's still a decent performance.

Solo Clean Bandit Featuring Demi Lovato (Voters: Among Haus- 6 points, Dircadirca- 15 points, JulianT- 19 points , JackJones- 6 points, AH Gold- 1 point, NickF1- 16 points)

No 1 for 1 week in June 2018- Our first Clean Bandit track to leave the rate- they have three songs left though,

Surprisingly low for 'Solo' but not complaining, very overrated song imo. I think 'Blame' is my least fave of Calvin's #1s.

Been a while since I last lost one of my votes - think I still have 26 or 27 left, wonder if they will all make the top 100?

The points are really jumping up now. I love Solo - not quite sure why but think it's something to do with the way the vocals are used to mimic different types of instruments and blended in with the strings.
Solo is the weakest of those for me, was OK but rarely wanted to play it by choice. These Days was pretty good and it's done better than I thought it would, and I enjoyed Blame at the time but don't go back to it much anymore, very happy that Under Control has made it even further than two of his other #1s! Hoping it can make it into the top 100, that would be a great result.
I was starting to wonder whether John Newman would be the last artist left with no eliminations who had 3 or more #1s during the decade, but he's been pipped by Clean Bandit - can't think of anyone left who falls into that bracket!
