A few days ago Manchester band The Lottery Winners posted a sea shanty version of Nickelback's Rockstar on TikTok. It blew up and now it's getting an official release!

 

The Lottery Winners had a fantastic debut album last year, but it's so odd to see them blow up in this way :lol:

I think I found it on 'youtube' its better than Wellerman certainly in my opinion, less annoying, should have changed some the lyrics like the drug references especially to make it more pirate themed though.

 

It's bound to make the Nickleback critics seasick though!

As a Nickelback hater I hope this doesn't become a thing.

From memory I think Rockstar is his worst lyrics-wise, is it the one where he says he wants a credit card without limit :D

Another year and another “Rockstar” themed song to become a hit. Nickelback have been inactive from the charts for a very long time it seems, I don’t think this will take off like other TikTok trends, but it’s worth a shot.

This is much better than it has any right to be :lol:.
