It's been a busy year for the girls - with weddings, love splits, public rows, and of course, the occasional party! Here they open their hearts to Sunday.

Girls Aloud babe Cheryl Cole knows that she's famous now - because she's got a stalker! And Geordie Cheryl, who married Chelsea and England soccer star Ashley Cole in July, tells Sunday that she is worried.

"He's there every day outside the house. He's a weirdo," she shivers. "I'm really starting to worry - i'm sick to death of it. He follows me. If i go to turn a corner, he turns the corner. If i want to pop out and get a pint of milk and he's there, i have to turn back."

The girls are no strangers to unwanted attention. Their controversial comments have landed them in hot water with celebs like Charlotte Church (with whom Cheryl had a running feud) and Victoria Beckham, who Sarah Harding recently branded "sick" because of her bony figure.

But Cheryl, for her part is ready to bury the hatchet - and not in Charlotte's back.

"The feud with Charlotte did get out of hand," she admits. "But it's over now. I'd happily appear on her show if she asked and i think she'd be good fun to go out for a drink with, although i hear she'd calmed down a bit now."

And Sarah says her Posh comments were misunderstood.

"All i was saying was to be a size 0, skinny celebrity isn't a good thing," she says. "Curvy is cool. People should feel confident whatever they look like."

And Cheryl agrees: "Be who you are, eat what you want and that's it. Everybody knows that Nicole Richie is skinny and Michelle McManus is not. Nobody gives a sh*t."

Girls Aloud - Cheryl, Sarah, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Nadine Coyle - were launched after winning reality show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. They've since had 13 Top 10 singles and four hit albums. And they are proud to be a manufactured band.

Nicola says: "The Spice Girls were manufactured too. The only difference is that we were put together on a TV programme."

But she admits that when it comes to writing any hit songs the girls would be flummoxed.

"I would never be able to write a Girls Aloud song," she shrugs. "None of the group could."

They are performers first and foremost - and, talking of which, Cheryl says she's still getting used to Ashley's pre-match sex bans!

"I never get the chance to see him before a big game. He goes away for training so there's no opportunity for nookie," she sighs.

Sarah is currently dating a newspaper journalist.

"We've been on a couple of dates - i've known him for about two years," she says. "I've changed my type of guy recently and gone for a different type. I used to like dirty rocker boys but now i go for nice boys - not t*ts."

And one lover boy she'll be steering clear of is Russell Brand.

"I've heard one too many things about him," she laughs. "And his hair, it's just...urgh!"

Fellow band member Nadine has had a tough time lately with her on-off lover, Desperate Housewives hunk Jesse Metcalfe.

"We've been really worried about her recently, but at the end of the day what she does is none of our business. It's none of anyone's business," says Cheryl.

And what about the girls' near-legendary ability to party?

Sarah laughs: "We like champagne, vodka, sambuca, white wine, red wine..."

Nicola adds: "We had a night out on Tia Maria the other night. I bought Sarah a bottle and she drank the lot!"
