I just can't paticularly imagine Gary recording a song without Nathan as it's the guitar which personally makes them such a good band imo.

I reckon Gary will release stuff like run and chasing cars. But you're right, Snow Patrol need Nathan otherwise they won't sound as good as they do now. Before Nathan joined they didn't really do very well. Nathan kind of saved them.

Gary might manage a bit of sucess with slower songs as it's very radio-friendly but I don't want to hear an album full of that material, I want to hear them experimenting with their sound.

I think Nathan is probably most likely to be the better solo musician, personally I would prefer it if they just started working on the next album as Snow Patrol though.

I don't understand why they would want to do solo projects. They may as well just stick together. I'd like to hear another Snow Patrol album. I wouldn't be that interested in their solo work.

Snow Patrol are currently at the peak of their career album sales wise and I don't see the point in them risking that with what could be a couple of c**p solo careers.

Personally I think they should leave the solo careers until Snow Patrol have split-up as it makes more sense and atleast that way they don't have a band to risk.

yes i would hav eprefered them to concentarte on snow patrol, they hav e ahuge selling album still selling well so the follow up is important and shouldnt be put on the long finger

In another sense I suppose it's quite an interesting prospect to hear the solo music and it gives people a chance to have a break from Snow Patrol so they don't get bored of them.

Either way, I still think it would be better if they took atleast 2 years off to make an album that could rival 'Eyes Open.'

This may sound strange but I don't want them to be too sucessful with their solo work as the band may never get back together. I hope they do well though.
