I wanted to represent Donna purely for the fact that aside the likes of the Madonna’s, Whitney’s, Janet’s etc she seems to be the least spoken about when it comes to the big divas of the 70s and 80s despite having such a huge impact on how music has changed and sounded.

 

The entire history of disco has definitely been discovered by me due to my interest in gay culture, drag, art etc, in the last few years and the disco revival of late has ensured that disco never really goes away and what better time than to discover some of the greatest songs of that genre!

As I said when she was accidentally revealed (:kink:) - GREAT choice, love her singles but don't know her album tracks, so hype

I am VERY uneducated on Donna so I am looking forward to some education!

This is one that i am GASPING for because I know so little of her but I feel like I should know so much more and most of what I do know is FAB/has influenced a lot of the music I listen to now. Great choice George!

Donna has one of the greatest discographies I’ve ever heard of so I am THRILLED to be able to bring the disco to the competition!

I only know a couple of Donna songs so looking forward to this!

I don't know as much as I probably should with Ms Summer, but definitely intrigued by that choice and one of the perfect examples of why I love this contest and wanted to make a spin off for it!

Hailing from Manchester, Everything Everything have delivered their brand of wild and versatile indie rock/pop for over a decade, fronted by Jonathan Higgs' signature falsetto vocal. With five albums under their belt, it'll be tough whittling it down to just eight tracks. This band should add a unique spice to the competition, with everything from quirky bangers to sombre slow-builders. While I'm aware this is a (very) daring choice, I'm simply here to share some awesome music, the scores are irrelevant x
