Posted April 5, 200619 yr TOP RECOMMENDATION - PIERREPOINT - Cert 15 Quite a bizarre sounding one this - based on the true story of Albert Pierrepoint who was one of the UK's top Executioners. Apparently nobody knew about his bizarre trade in death and he lived a fairly normal family life, until the sh!t really hit the fan when he was asked to be executioner at the Nuremberg trials in 1946. Promises to be both intriguing and rather strange.... ICE AGE - THE MELTDOWN - Cert U The Squirrel is back!! LOL. I saw a preview of this on Sunday, not as good as the original really, but it does have the benefit of having more Squirrel in it this time and his exploits are definitely the highlights of this film. The main plot-line is a bit crap though.... ALIEN AUTOPSY - Cert 12 Ohhhhh, I really dunno about this one to be honest - I think this one stands or falls on how big a fan you are of Ant and Dec more than whether the film itself is actually any good or not. The trailers look mildly amusing, the concept is a pretty decent one (and amazingly based on a true story. Sort of...), but the Ant and Dec Factor seems more important than the film itself. And that could turn out to be the film's major undoing... THE DARK - Cert 15 Pretty standard sounding horror fare. Woman and kid arrive in gloomy place in the middle of nowhere to meet up with estranged husband, kid dies and woman begins to see visions of a ghostly child who looks an awful lot like her dead daughter. Hmmmm, how very "Don't Look Now"...... :zzz: :zzz: RENT - Cert 12 Film based around the popular West End Musical. Like we need another one of those......
