I know people will be like "don't hate!11" and I'm not hating but for what was presented the latter half of the season and most importantly tonight, that just does not feel like th right outcome. Bimini slayed the latter half of the season and Tayce slayed tonight, Lawrence for me got worse rather than better and in the end is probably the least I've enjoyed a winner for quite a while :( No hate to Lawrence, ofc, but whatever RuPaul is on I want some. For me it just feels like Ru would have crowned Lawrence no matter what, and that isn't saying that Lawrence is a bad drag queen, hasn't worked hard or doesn't deserve it, but that's how it feels to me.

March 18, 20214 yr Ru just tunnelled on Lawrence and I really didn't want to believe this would happen The only positive things are that 1. a Scottish + 2. a big queen won so at least that...
March 18, 20214 yr I feel so good after that episode because it was so feel-good and emotional all round, and was such a brilliant finale... but at the same time I'm sat here so underwhelmed at that result. Part of me was really hoping for a double win for Bimini and Lawrence (let's face it, Ru is so in love with Lawrence there was no way it wasn't gonna happen), and I really am gutted for Bimini. :( She'll no doubt have a sensational career after this though, so there's that at least!
March 18, 20214 yr Author In a way I'm also just amused :lol::lol: at the concept that the (presumably American) editors may have thought that Lawrence's tantrum about the challenge order would actually go down well with UK viewers and that's why they kept it in, even knowing that they would go on to crown her. At the time I thought for sure it would be either 1) Lawrence taking a dip before a late-game redemption arc where she turns over a new leaf, or 2) Lawrence showing that she's a bit immature and not ready to win now but will come back and slay AllStars. Instead it turns out to be secret option 3) we were meant to agree with Lawrence that Ellie SHOULD have sacrificed her own success to ensure Lawrence won the challenge because, uh, I guess they're both Scottish or something and Scots need to unite against the English?
March 18, 20214 yr They film all options though (well, the top 3 in this case so there presumably were 3 endings where each won), so if they were going with Lawrence just because it's what they thought the public wanted, there has been enough time to realise that's not really the case. I think Lawrence is just who Ru wanted to win all along and he didn't budge which is fair enough, it's his show, but meh

March 18, 20214 yr I'm happy for Lawrence! I was Team Bimini but Lawrence is an excellent candidate to represent the franchise and probably needed the win the most! Honestly getting to the final is the biggest win rather than placings once you get there. Bimini as well as Tayce and Ellie will do just fine off the back of one of the most well-received series ever!
