Lily Allen's latest outburst, and it's fair to say this, along with all her comments is most probably just one big marketing scheme, her record company know that this sort of scheme will work in today's celebrity-obsessed climate -_-

I useually like her but as shes now said somethin about the Babes I HATE HER :angry:

SLAG, she has called pcd and now the babes -_- if she says anything about shakira etc i will hunt her down and slap her -_- she obviously needs to slag people off coz she is flopping.. her new song is good but i hope it misses the top 40.

I really like 'Alright, Still' but I think Lily could stand to be a bit more humble. She's slagging so many different artists off.

Seriously, her appearance a week after Amy Winehouse appearance on the same show, proved that she can give one-line insults out, but she cannot reply to them, when faced with someone as sharp as Simon Amstell. Unlike Amy Winehouse, who gave as good as she got it.

 

I read her interview in one of the monthly magazines (I think it is Uncut, but it might be Mojo), Lily was particularly savage on Amelle, and the group in general, pointing out that if Keisha leaves they will have none of the original members left.

She also reckoned that if there were three of her, then she could easily have them in a fight, whilst saying that if there were five of her, she would lose to Girls Aloud.

I always thought she took her insults too far, becuase she's not incredibly talented herself I don't think and she has a pop at people being hyped up for no reason when let's be honest, her record sales are based on pure hype, but I didn't realise how shy she actually is - she's got no guts to back it up even Jamelia was giving more than her

I can't see her having a lasting career because people will get bored of her, but if she quietens down and lets the music speak for itself then she does have potential to be almost as good as The Streets

Lily Allen seems to be having a go at quite a few people recently. It was Madonna she first criticised by saying Madge hadnt released anything good since about 1985...despite the fact Madonna has gone on to sell millions of albums & singles. I wouldnt pay too much attention to her opinions..lets face it..who is Lily Allen? The artists who had a a brief number one hit which was a bit c**p. Her album hasnt done great and she will probably be a distant memory by this time next year. Maybe she feels threatened by other artists who have been around alot longer than her and have had alot more success!!

I like Lily Allen, I don't see why she did slag Sugababes off though as her music isn't that dis-similar to theirs.

 

Apparently though the papers take things out of context where they just ask her for an answer to a certain question and she will answer it but the papers take everything out of context.

 

At the end of the day as big of a fan of Sugababes I am at the same time I'm glad that someone like Lily Allen is on the scene and will say what she actually thinks about other artists instead of pretending she likes them.
