Numayania 8 Summericia 7 Mosquetania 6 Aeroche 5 Eledan 4 Botannika 3 Thelonia 2 Danæviia 1 Aquifina and Persephonia just missed out 62/65 Persephonia Good evening to all, assuming r Qween is posting votes in order of receipt it'll be late in the night now and we'll probably already know that Hendinia won by a huge margin, but here's the votes from Persephonia to do what little damage we can to the scoreboard at this stage x Picking up our 18 points is a grand welcome back to N DNTN picking up the quality as they left it (we'll ignore that their last entry before this one wasn't that great) serving a melancholy banger which is always the key to our hearts x This marks their fifth gold medal from us in total alongside 3 silvers and 3 bronzes, with their last 18 from us being their third-from-last entry before their hiatus (Yaeji in BJSC 99) and their last appearance in our votes being BJSC 100's Charlotte Gainsbourg who got 9 points. With some blissful RÜFÜS DU SOL esque vibes our silver medal goes this month to the ever hyped Kluminican Republic who we hope can capitalise off a less hypey month to actually get a big hit this time. This brings their medal tally from us up to 1 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze (their last medal position being 13 for Cosmo Sheldrake in BJSC 108, while this marks their highest points since also picking up 15 for Gang Of Youths in BJSC 102). Completing the podium is a weave-snatching techno BANGER from Kathaldazia, 13 points matching the highest we have given to them (previously also getting 13 for Pascal Letoublon in BJSC 124). This continues our record of giving them at least 9 points in every final they have qualified for since their 2020 comeback, after giving them a combined total of only 5 points in all the years prior to that. A rejuvenation! Also making the top 5, 12 points go to the former Persephonian potential bite-sized UK garage stomper from Cumulonimbia and 11 points go to a rather unique blend of R&B and UK drill which we were thrilled to see making the final for D'yermak'er, with this also marking their highest points from us since BJSC 124 when they picked up 15 points with Blanche. Continuing a run of quality entries in 2021 Dobago claim another 10 points with their latest floorfiller. 9 points go to a DnB tune with shades of Pendulum from Trifoski, a slow burning French synthpop jam from Jadakissnia nets them 8 points to add to the pile we've continuously given them over the years, there's more synthpop in the 7 point slot for the lovely Elëdan for their highest points from us in a final since our full 18 to Erika Lundmoen in BJSC 114, and the top 10 is rounded out by something a bit different in the form of Singerpurear's indigenous Canadian icon (we can appreciate a bit of First Nations music, just look at our own entry 'Sisters' x) claiming 6 points. Mealworms of the month are 5 points for Aeroche (feat. my spirit animal in the visualiser), 4 to another synthy number from Rolloland, 3 to #longsongbloc connoisseurs Skall (RIP Vülkyria but at least we got this sax instrumental in), 2 to the teen movie soundtrack core cut from Cor Lupus and 1 to Aelandor's Lion King tribute (or, if you'd like, 0.5 points to each song xx).
