Posted December 5, 200618 yr ok whast the buzz about her i LOVE her but what are herchances of being nominated for an oscar and which one, also what about beyonce cos she must be proper pi$$ed about that!help!
December 6, 200618 yr We'll see if Jennifer Hudson can do it. The stakes are nearly impossibly high. Jennifer Holliday's performance is perhaps the most incredible vocal performance in the history of Broadway theatre. Can Hudson really match this? kC_u_q-iND0 Skip to 4:00 for the song that immortalized her a Broadway legend.
February 6, 200718 yr Gawd, I just cannot express just how much this film just does not interest me in the slightest.... I aint even curious to be honest, I wouldn't really lose anything just by going as I have an Unlimited Cinema card, but I dunno, cant really be bothered.... -_-
February 9, 200718 yr I enjoyed it quite a bit but I'm really not rooting for it during this awards season... Bill Condon takes another classic theatrical production and manages to not screw it up, that's about what it was. While he deserves some credit, the film was always going to be good because it's based on a very good musical. But considering that dumbass Shumacher's butchering of The Phantom of the Opera, I guess we should take what we can get...
February 11, 200718 yr Didn't like the film, but Jennifer Hudsons solo performance was excellent, even if it dragged a bit.
February 11, 200718 yr I loved the film, Jennifer did brilliantly. All the cast were gd at acting but IMO JHudson stole the show
February 12, 200718 yr Didn't like the film, but Jennifer Hudsons solo performance was excellent, even if it dragged a bit. the first half of the film was good when the film had the funk. Eddie Murphy was great as 'Thunder' Early, and also in addition to all those old funkmasters of the 60s also reminded me of Morris Day from Purple Rain/Jay and Slient bob http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d1/Dreamgirls-film-02.jpg D3fiMJA0lnc soAucj4sC2w kZc7GHZ7pdM MWJte3GnfYA however when Hudson was chucked out of the band and it went into the late 70s/early 80s the music was just a bit too $h!t and went on a bit too long. that kinda turdy mainstream stuff that america is noted for. no wonder its not called soul anymore. there no soul only custard!!!!! C0epiFyc4c0 also before the film i had seen the funny norbit trailer (and i had just thought of eddie murphy as your dady day care/nutty prof type of comedian, didnt think a film with him could have a trailer that funny). so through out the 2nd half of the film my mind was wondering and i was thinking what if Jennifer Hudson's part was played by Norbit's mrs instead in a spoof versh. would it be better than epic movie http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/34/Norbit.jpg
