Apologies if there is already a thread for him and I missed it- this is for the single though, “An Exhale” from the forthcoming album Rare, Forever

Entered my chart last sunday at 35. Already fast becoming one of my favourite tracks of 2021 so far, love the build on this - really optimistic feel too!!

Ooh I am also really liking 'An Exhale' (hearing it fashionably late as per of late) - I enjoyed the previous singles too ('Mothra' fell just short of making it into my chart) but this is easily the best of the four. <3
This came up on my playlist today too, really liking it! I only know Blush from Unknown Pleasures a good few years back and I'm pleased to see this has a similar aesthetic and build to that.

Really loving Leon's new album Rare, Forever at the moment! It's a beguiling, transportive and fascinating experience.

There's so much textural depth in his music, so many elements and moods - I love it! If you liked "An Exhale" then tracks like "Mothra", "Snakeskin ∞ Has-Been" and "Dumbo" from the album are definitely worth a listen as well

Decided to check out the rest of this album the other day - 'An Exhale' remains excellent and is the best song on there but 'Dumbo' is a full fat banger as well :cheeseblock: 'Alichea Vella Amor' is also a highlight + 'Mothra' is better than I remember it being, a bit Ten Walls-esque!

A few of the other tracks on there didn't really click with me as much but it was a fun entrancing listen anyway x

Leon has released a new single called Sugar Slip (The Lick) and it's a vibe as expected

It will be included on his upcoming Fabric Presents mix series out March 25 via Fabric on 2xLP, CD, and digital platforms. It includes an introduction from Wesley Joseph and exclusives from Skee Mask, Or:la, Gaunt, Avon Blume, and Ehua.

Perhaps we can name this the Leon Vynehall thread? :kink:

Really enjoying the new single. Here's a brief clip showcasing the forthcoming live show at fabric on 8th April 22~

Leon Vynehall brings his enigmatic live show to fabric on 8th April for a very special performance (7pm- 11pm) before opening up the space for a curated club night and DJ set (11pm - 6am). Support for the live show comes from the captivating electronica of POiSON ANNA (Live) and South London based spoken word artist, musician and DJ James Massiah.

Leon closed his recent Heaven performance with “An Exhale” which remains a moment.

(hyped for new Skee Mask on the upcoming fabric mix album as well - Skee Mask recently removed his entire discography from Spotify though oops. But he does still have some tracks up via appearing on other mix albums / compilations as well as a few remixes of other artists' songs so I presume this will still be on there?)

Bumping this for his recent single out now on vinyl

I grew tired of Rosebud pretty quickly but I'm liking the B-side Black Dove more than that I think.

"Rosebud" is a highly frenetic, heads down slammer. Technoid stabs cementing a sturdy pulse while a whole manner of refracted sfx and voltage-injected vox fire over the top of the mix.

"Black Dove" rides wubbing subs and stuttered vocal snips with a skippy beat that recalls early Joy O or 2010-era Four Tet, only to elevate things further with a trance-informed breakdown that captures all the energy, spirit and euphoria of a night out to remember. A monster of a track that's brilliantly alive and addictive. Reduced and twisted on the 'Winged Version', which sees Leon bury the track even deeper underground and into the rave bunker.

Seriously strong 12" from this modern dance music superstar.
