May 10, 20214 yr Wow at République d'Áskorza actually sending Roller after that was the one German rap song I speculated it could be in the last contest's thread! :lol: Very familiar with that track after how massive it's been there for so long (EOY #3 in both 2019 and 2020!) but still hoping it can make it to the final as I'm in the other semi. I don't think I've heard any of the other entries here though so looking forward to making lots of discoveries too!
May 10, 20214 yr Was surprised to see Bentley's Gonna Sort You Out pop up, I was introduced to that a few years back on a best of the 90s playlist, it was great from what I remember so hopefully can be a big hit here too! Hopefully some names in Semi 2 can take to my song, it's like the end of the world prophecised in just under three minutes! BJSC truly shoving Yonaka and Real Lies down our throats! I feel like I know the entire discography of the latter through just BJSC! :lol:

May 10, 20214 yr There are two songs here that I am very familiar with, Come Dancing by The Kinks and Bentley's Gonna Sort You Out! by Bentley Rhythm Ace. They were both top 20 hits and I love both of them. Only the second of them is in my semi. Was surprised to see Bentley's Gonna Sort You Out pop up, I was introduced to that a few years back on a best of the 90s playlist, it was great from what I remember so hopefully can be a big hit here too! Hope you both still can enjoy these retro vibes from Bentley Rhythm Ace. I in fact only made this discovery in recent weeks so the song completely passed me by over the years since, but I’m liking the sound that comes through, giving me vibes of Avalanches and maybe to a lesser extent Fatboy Slim. Hoping to get back to qualifying ways this contest! :)

This 'United Sexi Boyz' seem to have built their entire career off Kylie samples, they have another song based on 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' as well lol x (a little curious where Klum came across them as there's not much about them on Google :thinking: it being a Kylie sample wasn't unnoticed, although it might have been if I didn't see that other song from them as well lol)

Yes poor Suedeonia! Semi 1 folks, Come Dancing is great traditional nostalgic UK fairground-styled fun.
