The Oasis singer has told of his admiration of the show in the past and has now recalled how close he came to making an appearance. He said the band were asked if they were interested and pointed out how an appearance would also have helped with album sales. The Gallaghers would have joined a list of mentors including Rod Stewart, Lionel Ritchie and Tony Bennett if Noel had not decided otherwise. "We should have done it," commented Liam. "The contestants would have been singing Oasis songs. I would have loved that. If Tony Bennett can go on, why can't we? "We'd have made it to number one in the album charts without a doubt, but our kid said no and that was that." Any Comments?
