Good choice :D Doubt it will do well though. :(

Well I hope it will do well. :D ^_^

I dunno how well it actually will do though. I guess it just depends how good it does in the airplay stakes. ^_^

Well I think Take That will be #1. Westlife will probably be #2 but realistically I don't think DS would chart in the Top 10 unfortunatley. :( Still if it goes Top 20 then it would be good because with in been the 4th single off the album and everything. ^_^

i love the new take that single so i woul dlike chiolli and take that do a number 1 battle

Well I hope TT go #1. :D It sure has the potential to get to #1 but we shall just see.

I hope the Chili's do really well as well, but I just dunno how well this will do. Snow is probably one of the best tracks on the album and that only managed #16 but saying that RHCP have never been known for high charting singles past the lead singles off their albums.

It's done by the same guy who directed Under The Bridge apparantley! :o

Hmmmm not sure about this.

Personally I would have preferred Storm In A Teacup, but i'm sure this will do quite well. ^_^

I think Storm In A Teacup will be the next North American single if they release any more tracks off SA. I'm not sure whether they'd release it here though, I think it would flop very badly personally.

The video has arrived as well! :D ^_^

It's not on youtube yet though so it's just a like for the moment. :D

It's quite a wierd video tbh. VERY simple and a bit strange as well.

Here's a nice little review of the single from Digitalspy as well:

What a cheerful name for a song! The new single from the Chili Peppers combines melancholy verse with slightly more bouncy, sped-up harmonies and ponderings, before the verse heralds a return to the sharp twanging guitars and lead singer Anthony Kiedis and co's decision to put the vocals slightly too high to allow for strength or not.

'Desecration Smile' has a great strength in John Frusciante's ever wonderful musicianship, but Anthony Kiedis' vocal grates the minute you hear it on this track - it's pitched higher than his normal vocal, and it simply doesn't work that well.

There's a great guitar solo as the end approaches, and whilst the instrumental is fabulous, the song isn't quite perfect - it could do with some work. It's still a good Chili Peppers song, but it lacks something, and it certainly sounds a bit more Boney M than Bon...meh, the metaphor isn't coming, but you know what I mean

Overall: 4/5

'Desecreation Smile,' is definitley not one of the stand-out tracks on 'Stadium Arcadium,' imo, 'Hump De Bump,' would have made a much better single and probably sold more aswell as it's just a slightly mental song.

Well Hump De Bump is the North American single. :P IMO Desecration Smile would do better over here than Hump De Bump because it's much more Radio friendly. :D ^_^

I think I'm going to have to give 'Desecration Smile,' another listen seeing as whenever I've listened to 'Stadium Arcadium,' the song has just gone right past me and made no impact at all so therefore whenever it's on TV I've just turned the channel straight over.

It is one of those songs that you need patience for.

It's getting increasing Radio airplay though which can only be good! :D ^_^

I've just listened to 'Desecration Smile,' and it sounds slightly better than it did last time but I still don't think it's very good, however maybe I will end up liking it after I've heard it a few more times.
