Posted June 14, 20214 yr Wales will be looking to win this game in order to have a chance of getting into the last 16. Turkey will be looking to bounce back after their defeat. How do you see this going?
June 15, 20214 yr Remember it’s in Baku vs Turkey which will be like a home game for the Turkish team with many of their fans travelling.
June 16, 20214 yr Author Wales have got to take one of these chances, surely? Or are Turkey really that vulnerable in defence?
June 16, 20214 yr Ramsey should have scored…. Good performance from Wales so far but feels like they could lose this 1-0 The whistling whenever Wales players have the ball is annoying me sooo much!
June 16, 20214 yr Does anyone else think the commentary is now slightly ahead of the picture? That tackle on Bale seemed to be described a fraction of a second before we saw it.
June 16, 20214 yr From goal.com (where I have to follow commentary-only while at work in the U.S. I can only see the 3pm EST games right now and it's why I have next week off) 42' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! RAMSEY SCORES AT LAST!!!!!! 1-0 WALES!!!!!! The midfielder atones for his earlier two misses as he latches on to a sublime ball from Bale before slotting a strike past Cakir from close range. The goal is all about Bale as he arcs a brilliant pass over the top of the Turkey defence for Ramsey's run in behind. The Juventus man controls it on his chest before using his second touch to guide it into the bottom-left corner. Edited June 16, 20214 yr by DJHazey
June 16, 20214 yr 61' PENALTY MISS! Bale loses his composure from 12 yards as he skies his effort well over the bar. He takes a stutter-step and seems to lose his foot before lifting his strike over the top. How costly could that be for Wales?
June 16, 20214 yr Turkey have been disappointing so far in this tournament. I expect they're going to start playing desperate and there's going to be alot of space on counter attacks. I doubt Bale is done. Edited June 16, 20214 yr by DJHazey
June 16, 20214 yr goal.com | Bale is the first player to miss the goal frame entirely with a penalty (excluding shootouts) at the Euros since Raul for Spain against France at the 2000 tournament.
