Posted June 21, 20214 yr 20th June 2021 It's a first chart-topper for for KING & COUNTRY and for Dolly Parton - giving Dolly her first-ever Number One after 45 years of trying, and coming closest with Jolene. The last 70's veteran to finally get a chart-topper was Jean-Michel Jarre in 2016, after waiting 39 years, while Neil Young waited 42 years for his. So Dolly has the new chart record! A very lovely song holding off 3 Top 5 Eurovision tracks. Regard, Troye Sivan & Tate McRae all get a first top 10, Jack Savoretti a 4th, Jonas Brothers a 2nd and Marshmello a first. Paloma Faith gets another top 20 track from her latest album, the 4th to do it, and Eagle-Eye Cherry gets his 3rd top 20 some 23 years on from his first and second. Roisin Murphy gets her 3rd top 20 off her current album, and Duran Duran are on at least their 23rd but I've lost count, it'll be more than that! Highest new entry is George Michael's lovely cover of First Time Ever I Saw Your Face which Roberta Flack charted with 49 years ago. It started selling on itunes after Steve Wright played the track on his show. Highest new track is Sigrid and Mirrors, her 5th chart entry, Jake Shears guests on a dance pop track from Annie, giving him 17 years of chart singing since Scissor Sisters debuted, and The Veronicas return for their 4th in 12 years, though one of them topped the chart. It was World Record Store Day last week, so a number of vinyl singles made the Sales Charts, and I've cherry-picked two of them for mine - Primal Scream's Moving On Up, and Ian Dury's Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick 43 years on and sounding good, while 2 other 70's tracks make the itunes charts and also pop in, 1976's You're My Best Friend (One of the few Queen faves that hasn't charted since hitting), and 1979's Good Times from Chic. It's a decent track, certainly single worthy but I don't think it's anywhere near the best on the album. Oh dear at this performance for Heartbreak Anthem. I am so so disappointed :lol: Very happy to see Butter enter. It's not quite as good as Dynamite but that's okay. Nice chart! ^_^

Monster is good Paloma, maybe not quite as good as the first tracks I charted off the album, but good Paloma is often better than other acts doing their best :) Heartbreak Anthem is catchy, but I'm not feeling it outdoing it's new peak of 30 at the mo, oops! :lol: I agree Dynamite is better then Butter.
