June 25, 20214 yr Author Snap! What did you think? I thought it was good but I can't say I was impressed in the same way I have been with Miley's other covers. She usually completely rejuvenates the songs but this performance seemed pretty faithful to the original songs.

Only reason that she possibly did them close to the original was because of the event itself and wanting the crowd to sing along as much as possible? I think. I would have loved Miley to put her own stamp to like a prayer tbh, she’s very capable of it too!

I think maybe they weren't the best song choices for Miley either - take her 'Zombie' cover, not much different to the original but it just suited her perfectly. This came across more like Miley doing Madonna at karaoke. I do think she was good though and it's clear as ever that she's one of the best performers visually around at the moment.

June 26, 20214 yr She fits into these songs so well! The 'Music' performance is great and very in her lane / you can see how she's been influenced by the era. Her raspy vocals suit the songs brilliantly - 'Express Yourself' sounds great. 'Like A Prayer' I thought was going to consume her but she did it justice. The euphoria towards the end of it <3 Overall - I am super impressed. :heart:
