Typical that not one but two incredible matches come when I can't watch them all  Caught the extra time and penalties for this though and wow, incredible how hard the Swiss fought, I thought the French were pressing them too hard in the extra time that they'd walk penalties...I suppose it was written in the stars given how Mbappe missed so many chances! Many congrats to them and I think they've got a decent chance against Spain given how lucky they got today as well!

Both of the top 2 of the last Euros and the last world cup out in one fell swoop :o

I tuned in for the penalties for this - haven't actually been watching the matches other than the England ones (which are no doubt all the most boring matches to watch from an objective standpoint :kink:) but I have been keeping an eye on the coverage of other matches online when I can and I couldn't miss the conclusion of this one - what a comeback :cheeseblock:

and seriously what are the chances of 2 matches in the same day having a team blow a 3-1 lead in the last 10 minutes of regular time

I've never seen Xhaka play as well as this before.

Ha same here he’s like pirlo tonight!

As Danny Baker once tweeted

“Football, f***ing Football. Imagine not being into it? Those poor poor half alive bast*rds!!”

Pogba  Scores an absolute worldie and then loses the ball needlsey in midfield, he really is a total enigma.

Felt really sorry for Mbappe, he is absolutely quality and easily going to be the best player in the world in a few years time but he's had a poor tournament and clearly suffered under the pressure tonight. This France team was overrated to the high heavens, loads of individually good players but much like England between 04-06, not sure they actually get on well as a group and you need that in tournament football.

Yeh they have a lot of good players but the Swiss have the better team!
I laughed when the cameras showed part of the crowd inside the stadium doing a Mexican wave while the score was 3-3 in extra time. Apparently most of the spectators were neutrals but still to do a Mexican wave in a match as eventful and dramatic as that is mind boggling.
Yeh the commentators were complaining. When I’m at Ireland games and a Mexican wave starts I just sit like a grumpy bast*rd 😂

Can we stop pretending that Mbappe is some 13 year old savant? He's 22, only a year younger than Rashy is and the same ages as Havertz and always everyone falling over themselves to be like "oh well Mbappe is only a babyr", but you don't see the same about Rashy, Havertz or Greenwood - Who at younger than Foden was crucified by the press but the overrated white BOY WONDER got away scot free.....

Rashy was 21 when he took his *first pen* in the CL knock outs to send PSG out in tears. Last kick of the game. Score and we go through, miss and we go home. That is how you take a pen under pressure.

Bored of mediocrity being hyped.

While I take the point about Mbappe, he’s different to all the other young players you’ve mentioned. His numbers are absolutely unreal, better than Messi at the same age. He hasn’t had a great tournament, but a lot of players haven’t. He’s not been in good form a little while to get fair, but suspect a lot of that is down to his contract situation. He’s also not very good at pens!
Messi has never really had a good World Cup (2014 excepted maybe?) but he’s still unreal!
