The show isn't fixed, it's just unpredictable, which makes it more exciting. Not if Ray wins though! :lol:

To be honest I have never been keen on Ben and a know a lot of people that werent either. Then again im not keen on Ray either so ALL HAIL LEONA.

Ben picked the wrong week to put in two lacklustre performances.

 

Reading what had been posted on DigitalSpy certainly backed that up.

 

Last week, Ben was superb, certainly better than Leona. But based solely on tonight's performances the public got it right.

 

Looking forward to next week, anyone who thinks Leona has got this won, is foolishly forgetting about the 11/12/13/14 year-old Westlife/McFly fans who will be voting for Ray in their masses & the grannies vote.

No way in a billion years was Ray better than Ben tonight :o

 

Leona will so obviously win. She has never been botton 2, Ray has more than once if I remember correctly.

 

I could'nt be bothered watching next week. Both contestents left bore me completelly <_<

None of Ray's nor Ben's performances have ever struck me as anything other than ok and enough, neither have ever wowed me!! Ray well I don't like the crooning ... its boring constantly him performing all those old songs and I just don't like him, he seems very fake!! Ben, well he's ok and has made some good attempts but like I say was never amazed by him ... unlike Leona who has so much potential [yes she may not do alot in her performances but thats because she lets the important thing [her singing] do the talking!!]

Will Young and Shayne Ward are both great singers imo. Shayne's music/image is $h!t now due to all the bland ballads he is being made sing. On last years X Factor, he was very good imo, very vercitile as well, something Leona is'nt. She is Whitney/Mariah clone, but she's obviously miles better than Ray. God who is voting for him :puke2:

Scotty, maybe you would like to watch some of these Reality TV performances, all of which I think are better than Ben & Leona.....

 

I would much rather see a Rock singer win X-Factor than a Soul/r'n'b lite female diva. The problem I have with Ben is that he is just not that special a performer. While criticising Leona for sounding like Mariah Carey, is a bit like criticising Oasis for sounding like The Beatles, or criticising Radiohead for sounding like Pink Floyd.

 

To be fair if Ben could sing (with the ability, depth & emotion) and perform Rock Songs up to the level of ANY of the following Reality TV performers (whom I'd much rather listen to than Leona), then I might have a lot higher opinion of him and want him to win:

I actually think it could be a blessing for Ben not winning.

 

I think he is better off getting a (rock) band behind him, and hopefully he can record some good original rock compositions, rather than be tied into a musical straight-jacket that he would have been if he had won the competition.
