So it comes down to the Euro 2020 final which sees Italy appearing in their first final since 2012 and England appearing in their first final since 1966. After 55 years could it really be coming home for England or will Italy win their 2nd Euros and first since 1968.

The final taking place at Wembley Stadium.

I imagine that this could be one of the most viewed sporting events for a generation.

Live coverage will be simultaneously on BBC One and ITV.

Who do you think will win?

BBC One will win as it always does when in competition with ITV for the same event :P

It is very noticeable that the two finalists have done relatively little travelling in this tournament. Both sides (as did the other semi-finalists) played all their group matches at home. Before the semi-final, England had another home match and a trip to Rome while Italy had matches in Munich and at Wembley. Neither of them had to go anywhere near Baku or St Petersburg.

BBC1 will probably draw more viewers in, and without the ad breaks, and avoid the awful commentators and footie pundits on ITV1, Sam Matterface, Roy Keane etc etc. I'm switching to BBC1 for the match. :magic:

If you watch it on BBC One England will probably win, but if you watch on ITV England will probably lose

If I've calculated correctly this will be the 40th England game I'm in attendance for. Incredible to think it's happened, a far cry from being in Nice in 2016.

I have utmost faith in Southgate and the squad that they can win this, will need to be disciplined and it'll be a tough game but there's enough quality at both ends of the pitch to win.

Those old enough might remember England played Italy in the 1990 world cup third place play offs and lost 2-1. Hopefully England can get the win this time, though I think it will be a close match whoever wins and will probably run into extra time.

Neither teams play with midfield, I think England have a better attack but Italy have a better defence. It will be a tight game and akin to a coin toss. Really do think this one will go to extra-time.

I think Italy have been one of the best attacking teams, however in the Spain match they didn't get as many chances at scoring as usual because of Spain dominating possession. England need to do the same as Spain then and hope they get more luck and use their chances better than Spain did.

If I was to predict though, I still think Italy will win though.

Based on the trophy presentations of The FA Cup, play-off & EFL Cup finals from this year it's likely that the winning team wont get to climb up the steps of Wembley to receive the trophy which could have been a once in a lifetime opportunity at a major tournament. It will most likely get presented on a podium on the pitch instead.

Looking forward to this. I don't have any hard feelings about England. I think people are being quite petty over it tbh.

Having said that, its wild how the England flag has become so triggering after it being co-opted by racists as a symbol of exclusion :o

I actually find the England flag a lot less triggering than the union flag.
Italy are favourites, no question, but England have a chance. I wouldn’t be disappointed if England lose, they’ve done so well to get so far
I can’t remember the last time I was so excited for a Sunday  usually the “boo it’s work tomorrow” day.

Fun being off Monday and Tuesday for bank holidays in NI!!

Exactly the reason I'm watching it on BBC1

I'm English and I hate the English flag, it's the one thing I don't like about football tournaments is seeing the flag everywhere, it really has such a racist association! I do however love the Union Jack flag I think it's the best looking flag out there... it's disgusting there is no Welsh representation on it though.

Phil Foden could miss Sunday's Euro 2020 final against Italy with a foot injury.

Foden would be a miss as he looked great against Denmark when he came on, but we have such good attacking depth.

Rumours about that Henderson is coming in for Saka and Mount will be played on the right.
