We usually get the albums preety late. Now that the band is gonna stay together, when do you think the next one will come out - and what do you want to see on it?

I'd love for Amy to go back to writing songs from her soul. SS, CMWYS, WOTW, Lacrymosa, LC, GE are all very, very disppointing and commercial lyrically. They won't last the way the Origin songs have lasted, for me.

More lyrics like Breathe No More, please. TOD was a big step down lyrically, I hope Terry leaves most of the writing to Amy next time (if he was the problem to begin with). I know Amy said Ben didn't allow her to be dark and honest with the lyrics, but with the exception of Like You - the themes on TOD are laughable compared to Fallen.

Hmm, what else? I'd like another song about Amy's sister. They tend to be amazing. I want her to do it subtly and not make the issue seem repetetive. She followed that pattern very well till now, I want to see it continue.

I'd love for them to make the music even darker and crazier, a lot of metal influences. Good lyrics, Amy's voice, dark music and I'm set! :) You?

Yes, I agree, "Origin", so much better than that commercial pish "Fallen"....

Frankly, I see TOD as being a return to their roots, certainly musically at any rate....

By the way, technically, the next one will be the fourth album.... ;)

Dont expect another Ev album for at least two years though... Either late 2008 or early 2009...

Origin is the exact opposite of TOD! Meaningful lyrics written from the heart, interesting themes, REAL feeling of music - all missing in TOD. Not stirring up a fight, it's a conclusion I got.

There are similar elements, but TOD is just too commercial and simple. You can tell the songs weren't written from the heart, unlike Origin and Fallen. Weight Of The World is just one big completely awful lyrical disaster.

I think TOD is a new direction with old elements... a direction that is good MUSICALLY, more variety than Fallen, but an awful direction lyrically... writing for the sake of a hit and getting songs over with, just blunt in the sense it shouldn't be... the commercial one (not including Like You, of course).

I can't wait for new music! I still listen to TOD and love it but most of the lyrics are so pop-ish, I don't feel Evanescence there in a lot of songs.

I have no expectations for any future albums, I don't like having them. I enjoy the surprise of listening to new tracks not knowing what they're really going to be like. I don't like to analyse the future of Evanescence at all to be honest.

Amy, in my mind, is damn amazing and I have great faith in the fact that she wouldn't make an album she didn't feel connected to or hadn't poured every part of her soul into.

That's true too... I still love TOD, but I never listen to WOTW because the lyrics p*** me off. She's a great writer, this is good enough for Avril and Kelly - not Amy. I love how real "Origin" is, that's why I have these rants lately... I've been listening to Origin nonstop lately. Such a good album!

You keep saying in her writing she's like Avril and Kelly - stop! Never compare Amy Lee to such pop. That's wrong on all accounts. It's not even a thought I can process. It's not because Avril of Kelly are necessarily bad but you just can't relate them back to Amy.

You keep saying it's not 'good enough' but TOD is damn stunning. It's a lyrical masterpiece that pinpoints every feeling that has ever marked the map of Amy. It's very deep. I mean Avril Lavigne doesn't even begin to touch the surface of deep. TOD is in no way lyrically 'laughable'. How can you laugh at the line "can't hold onto the fear that I'm lost without you

if I can't feel, I'm not mine, I'm not real" or "I wont lie to keep you near me and in this short life, there's no time to waste on giving up".

Dude, Fallen was teen angst. I just want to write that all over Ben's face and push him down a hill.

The issue of Amy's sister will never be repetative, it's hard to even comprehend losing someone so close at such a young age. I don't even dare say a word against 'Hello' or 'Like You'. The respect I feel for Amy wouldn't let me do that on any level, even if I wanted to, which I really don't.

Anyway really don't want to discuss the lyrics side of TOD anymore so yeah I guess I'm just going to agree to disagree.

NO. She is much more talented than them, this is exactly why I don't like Lacrymosa, Weight Of The World, Call Me When You're Sober type of songs from Evanescence. Amy wrote Breathe No More, she can do so much better. But okay, they basiically had all of their lives to come up with the Origin/Fallen songs, while they had a limited time to do TOD when they were new people. Some of the writing (the songs I mentioned) were probably more rushed... thankfully Amy's voice and the music are good enough to keep those songs good.

Again, I said WOTW was laughable. No other song on the album is laughable. When did I ever say a bad word about Hello or Like You?

Fallen was teen angst at some points but it was done so well (in most songs) and it was very wellwritten that it doesn't matter to me...

Absolutely... Cliched Teen (w)an(k)gst lyrics for 14 year old Moshers, cribbed from Trent Reznor, Marilyn Manson, Johnathan Davies and a host of other even more dubious sources (ie, Limp Bizkit-style "rapping" on "Bring Me To Life"  ), all wrapped up in simplistic and pretty appalling for the most part Nu Metal with a slight hint of Lacuna Coil and Sisters of Mercy (but at both bands' most base and simplistic musical denominators..) to attempt some sort of sophistication....

As an LC/NIN/Sisters fan I was insulted by it....

Bring Me To Life is just one song... Going Under, My Immortal, Everybody's Fool, Tourniquet, Taking Over Me, Whisper, etc are great.

There are loads of good songs on Fallen, it's just not what evanescence are all about though

"Going Under" and "Nobody's Fool" are just about the only two songs off "Fallen" that I actually rate....

why complain? these ppl try hard to please us, so please, dont be so hard on them lol! i love TOD, much better then fallen to me, some songs arent amazing, but listen to lithium, like you, lose control, your star, cloud nine, etc. those songs are amazing!!! I'm actually glad that it doesnt sound like origin, that wudnt be good, cuz if its all the same, its gonna get boring! artists and bands change up the style a bit, to keep the fans interested, and so that they are all waiting to see what the next album is gonna be like. What wud be the point in making 5 albums that sound the same? one if GOOD ENOUGH then lol! Well, this is my opinion! TOD is the best album to me!
