They probably will yet again, They'll be looking for their 5th League Cup in a row and they would overtake Liverpool as the club with the most League Cup titles.
Hope they don’t break our record as we won it 4 times in a row in the 80s!

Liverpool vs Norwich and West Ham vs Manchester United live on sky this week in the third round.

Surely they could have thought of better ties to show live such as the lower league clubs like pretty sure Wycombe play Man City?

All about viewing figures, Liverpool and Man Utd always pull in the biggest crowds. I'm sure nobody wants to watch Wycome 0-8 Man City as it's all become a bit boring and silly.

1-1 in the city Wycombe game, equaliser by De Bruyne. Still could end up 1-8 Rooney 😜

Ya spoke way too soon, it's City in the Carabo Cup

Only a few games in but Man Utd look to have totally broken Sancho already. He's lucky Ronaldo is there otherwise loads of people would be getting on his back.

Biggest surprise of the night for me is Man City getting a Premier League side in the draw!

I think it's too early to say that Sancho has been broken, he's had a slow start to his United career but I think he can definitely improve and most likely will improve. The game tonight was finished as soon as West Ham went 1-0 up, now West Ham have been rewarded with a match against Man City in the next round.

Aston Villa's goalkeeper moved too early a number of times during the penalty shootout against Chelsea which made it a lot easier for them to score but the kids of Villa did well to take it to penalties in the first place.

Aye he moved to the right for three of them well before the Chelsea player got near the kick!

Fair play to West Ham got some revenge for Sunday’!

Liverpool away to Preston in a Lanchasire Derby!

He's a quality player and I'm sure he will, but when your price tag is £100m you've got to be performing sooner rather than later.

Anyway, I will totally agree sometimes with these games you can't read too much in to them as you have completely new teams, sometimes they gel and sometimes they don't. Feel sorry for Martial too (although I will also say his body language looks totally off), he's been set up as the scapegoat, but for me it comes down to the lack of coaching patterns and fluidity.

Shit result but never mind, a home tie against City would have been tasty. Just showed that no-one in our second team has a prayer of ousting anyone from the first team.

Sancho is one of those players who neds the team to be built around him. He needs to be the main man like at Dortmund (or one of them anyway, along with Haaland). I think he's gonna flop for us tbh. Martial is finished, 2019-20 was his best season but has the end product of a broken pencil these days.

Shouldn't be a big problem as long as Greenwood & Lingard keep performing, more than happy to keep playing them in the league (or Pogba on the left).

Your never too unhappy to go out of the league cup at this stage!

There’s no way Sancho won’t come good at some stage he’s too talented, but he should have stayed at Dortmund another year or two!

I still believe the league cup is a giant waste of time and shouldn’t be open to the Prem clubs, or at least the prem teams in Europe. Happy to avoid a few bits of fixture congestion

I can’t get The League Cup here but I knew we weren’t playing to win when I saw the line up

I think the only time the cup becomes a problem is if you win the Champions League (e.g. Chelsea) and the January two legged tie. It's a useful opportunity to win silverware and to play youth and the squad players. If you have a massive squad, then when you get injuries either they come in cold or they're not playing football. So I think it is useful from that perspective, especially at this stage of the season.
