It's crazy we were frustrated with Holiday and even Bounce Back's performance.

They switched singles to this, so maybe this is just acting as a promo single and then they'll drop (Is it called 'NO') nearer the release as the big single.

 

It was a lil silly to have 3 songs out at the same time.

This was 30 in yesterday's mids.

People whining about Holiday's chart performance are insane. A Gold selling top 15 hit is nothing to be laughed at. :mellow:

 

Bounce Back also at least went top 10 and crawled to Silver.

 

I'm surprised this is flopping THAT bad but again, who cares? One I've Been Missing missed the top 40 completely and a year later they had Sweet Melody lol.

Even though we can’t expect chart success constantly I was still expecting.. something a bit better than what.. barely scraping top 40 after a year of top 10s??

In my opinion, Holiday was a great single. What killed it was the delay in the video, and the video itself wasn't all that worth the wait. Same delay contributed to Break Up Song not performing as well as it should have. There isn't much difference in the overall performance of both tbf - they both spent same number of weeks on the charts. Yes Break Up Song peaked higher, but quickly left top 10 after one week. In the context it was a lead single for a "new era", that difference in peak is nullified.

The fact this follows their trend of videos being released same day (that have generally done better) and has still done way worse than most of the ones with delayed videos...

The song is in there (57 at the moment) - not very high but it's there

I hear it's #33 in the UK today.

Can't see it making top 20 tbh, but honestly, who cares? It's a very rare misfire coming off the back of an absolutely huge year and a half!

holiday is still a bit eh for me, i feel like it's very understated and on the tracklist being between Break-Up Song and Sweet Melody (and the weakest song in the insane 1-5 track run) really doesn't do it any justice.

 

ye love sweet love is still #57 on AM, it's peak was #52 which is pretty shameful - I understand it's not their best and not the most radio friendly but come on..

When I saw that picture of Leigh and Perrie on set, the "emotional blackmail" worked for me, cos I was touched, and wanted the song to do even better. They have worked so hard! It hasn't got the best chorus and Jade's first prechorus, but they killed the vocals and I love the production too. This song is not even worse than other songs that have done incredibly well. Gosh I can cite loads of examples within a snap of my fingers.

It's just one of those things. I'm still hoping it will rise in the coming weeks - not sure to what extent.

If it doesn't, I hope the next single makes up for this!

i think the industry just sort of pivoted around that time - little mix have never been absolutely amazing with views but they did really well but now views aren't really that big a thing anymore - only KPOP artists manage to pull in ridiculous numbers.

Woman Like Me was sent to Todays Top Hits and more Spotify playlists plus had tons of TV promo and Nicki Minaj featuring (plus the EMAs) and was an amazing video. If you're all over Spotify playlists in different countries and doing lots of regional TV it's going to translate to YouTube views easier I guess.

 

Nothing since then has had the same exposure.

Disappointed with its chart debut but at worst its another top 40 for them.

Eeekkk after not liking it, then really liking it. I’m not going back to this at all, I didn’t even give it a play yesterday.

 

By far the single I’m least excited about, We had a massively solid run since BUS so I guess they were due a miss.
