Who would have believed a year ago that David Guetta would be one of the most relevant producers in 2021… at age 53 nonetheless! :o

Many might have written him off a long time ago as his commercial music became more underwhelming.

But, here in 2021, he has made a name for himself, yet again, (albeit with the help of a few other names) with these three massive hits;

and he looks set to have another Top 40 hit real soon, as the lead artist too, with this song;

Plus, you may have heard one of more of the following tracks he’s been involved with recently;

This is all in addition to his uncommercial releases under the alias Jack Back too!

So where does David Guetta go from here?

Would you like to see another album as big as the Nothing But The Beat era?

Who should he collaborate with next?

Also, when should we start talking about David Guetta having his own Artist Forum? :P

pretty sure the Shouse song will go top 40 soon too
I feel like Guetta is all over the place with no clear direction on what to do in his current point in music career. Doing some Slap House, some poppy House (whatever the current trend it is, at least in the UK) and everything in between, I don't know if he is ever releasing a "commercial" album again...

I mean I'm sure if Little Mix and Joel Corry tack me on as a credit for their next singles I'd start having hits too :P

I mean, fair play to him but in my mind with just about all of these he's shoehorned his name onto tracks by more relevant artists with probably minimal involvement on his part (or perhaps even having the tracks ghost-produced in his name) 🤷

I would really like to know the full backstory of songs like Bed or Heartbreak Anthem and know who did what

and particularly what Guetta did...

for instance Bed has like 8 co-writers and 5 co-producers... Heartbreak Anthem has 14 co-writers and 9 co-producers!

Whilst I do agree it seems a bit sketchy the detail about what his involvement has been on a number of these releases, you can’t deny he is still a household name and one that can get hits. It would seem strange to achieve all this new relevance then not to use it to build a platform for a new era. Surely he has a catalogue of other recordings waiting to release in the future too.

I'm even questioning whether he has new relevance as such.

'Bed' was a Joel Corry track following the monster that was H&H, 'Heartbreak Anthem' even got Galantis a hit in 2021 and Becky Hill is very much capable of getting a hit with the right song. I'm yet to be convinced he can really sell something with his name power these days.

does it help with playlists or the opposite? not sure... maybe it helped the Becky Hill song

but Bed and Heartbreak Anthem would have gotten big support anyway

it's not like his lead songs got playlist support, rather the opposite

FINALLY!!! :yahoo:

That's not the case for the MistJam x John Newman & Shouse tunes though.

So he’s managed to get another UK #1 single after many years and here’s what he tweeted about the outcome;

I’m most intrigued by the “more to come” promise. He’s basically had a new lease of life since the pandemic and it’s hard to recall the last time there wasn’t a song credited to David Guetta somewhere inside the Top 40.

So who would you like to see David Guetta collaborate with in the future?
