Fans 'were sick of me': Delta

DELTA Goodrem will spend more time in Australia next year, admitting she based herself overseas for the past two years because she felt people were getting sick of her.

"I think it is time I came back home," Goodrem said.

Between her stint on Neighbours, her singing stardom and her cancer battle, the pop princess had huge exposure after breaking through on Ramsay St, prompting a move out of the spotlight.

"I really felt I needed to give people a bit of space. Everything happened in such a short space of time,'' she said.

It was very busy and very crazy, all within a space of three years.

"I think I was around so much for a little while there, I really felt that people were getting sick of me.

"I kind of thought it was best to give (them) a bit of space."

Goodrem heading back to Sydney with boyfriend Brian McFadden to spend Christmas with her family.

They did get sick of her.. thats why her last few songs from MI did not as good as the rest.

I don't know why she said that, i think it was the way the media made her out as this too good to be true girl, which was true in a sense, but delta is the only perfection, i'd compare her to god, hahaha!!

It's upsetting that she'd feel that way, or else it was just an excuse!

i think it was down to quality. a little to late was not a good choice! but it was brought out to promote the 'visualise tour'. it worked in selling the remaining tickets. MI did well it got gold on the aria charts. number seven is quite good. i think she released it a week late, there were a lot of new entries that week. and the charted higher than her.
