Lisa Miskovsky was so big at one point with Lady Stardust... this is okay, but at best Andra Chansen.

Faith's song is very much Sweden-at-Eurovision with the whole build up thing.
Linda Bengtzing is Linda Bengtzing lol.
Bagge's song is hella cheesy lol.
Faith, Linda and Lisa were the best three songs in the mix tonight but I’m expecting Lancelot to unfairly lock one of them out of progressing.
I’m Very confused Lisa was right up top with all voting groups. The last one we only saw the winner as Faith. Lisa must have come second bottom in that age group which seems a tad surprising. She was quite a bit ahead going into last group

I ranked them like this:

1. Lisa Miskovsky – “Best To Come” (really good, would have liked to have seen it in the final)

2. Linda Bengtzing – “Fyrfaldigt hurra!” (this was her best entry in a long time, such a shame to see it crash out in 5th)

3. Cazzi Opeia – “I Can’t Get Enough” (a breath of fresh air and loved the visuals, not Eurovision competitive but glad to see it in AC)

4. Anders Bagge – “Bigger Than the Universe” (sweet if cliched but his reaction to going DTF was very genuine, he does have a good voice)

5. Faith Kakembo – “Freedom” (I don't love it but good for her to go to the final, it's a little Emeli Sandé in sound but had a good performance and she definitely deserved better last time)

6. Tribe Friday – “Shut Me Up” (reminded me of The Kooks and 2007 style indie more than anything, it was pretty good though)

7. Lancelot Hedman – “Lyckligt $l*t” (left no impression on me at all)

Not bad results overall but I'd have preferred the AC qualifiers to have been the finalists, I reckon Lisa should be able to make it into the final unless she has a hard duel.

Apparently the results for the 16-29 group were:

12 - Faith

10 - Tribe Friday

8 - Lancelot

5 - Cazzi

3 - Linda

1 - Lisa

Very bizarre that Lisa got 8, 10 or 12 from every other group and 1 from this one. I can see why they left this group for last for the shock value.

Was hoping Lancelot could've leapt ahead of Linda at least but oh well, I was prepared for him not to qualify :kink: The Anders song was cute and his reaction was lovely but vocally he was a bit off tonight. Faith really impressed me and I'm glad she nabbed the last direkt spot! Lisa and Cazzi are solid semi-finalists. Tribe Friday was better than I expected and I *adore* the styling.

This was one of the most meh heats of Melfest I've ever seen. Only really cared for Cazzi Opeia and even that was a cute 7/10. I'm glad Faith managed to nab a spot in the final however, well deserved after the robbery of 'Crying Rivers' and I think the song might grow on me. Linda was a disappointing mess. And the others just didn't even register.

Still all about Cornelia and Tone for me.

Lisa Miskovsky was very big circa 2003-05, so the 16-29 age group would've been too young at that point to have any nostalgic value. Then again, she did decent in the below 16 age group too.

So it's another skandal as many people believe the 16-29 results were wrong for Lisa and Tribe Friday, and looking at the results table, yeah, this is a big balls up.

That would make a lot more sense, frankly.

If that's the case I don't think they should send Faith to the 'semi-final' but just have only three qualifers from that round and make Lisa a direct finalist too.

edit: SVT have confirmed they're correct: https://www.aftonbladet.se/nojesbladet/melo...ar-rostningsfel

Tribe Friday being liked a lot by their target demographic is not a huge shock, I just don't get why Lisa would have been dead last when she did much better with the younger voters.

Also, it seems quite likely that Bigger Than The Universe could win the Swedish public vote in the final? It's had an extremely good reaction in Sweden and the (unofficial but unremoved) Youtube upload is already on higher views than Hold Me Closer has amassed in two weeks.

It will probably need the international juries to substantially mark it down for it not to have a good chance of winning.

Outside Sweden of course nobody knows him so it may struggle to do much at Eurovision, at a guess probably a scrape qualification and then something like 18th in the final. Cornelia is a far better bet for Eurovision but I don't think Sweden always think with that mindset if there's a local story they become attached to instead.

Lisa Miskovsky

#MakeSwedenGreatAgain on Eurovision. :winner:

I need to stop liking songs in Sweden's selection because they'll reject them every time in favour of something boring.

a 1 on the televote for tribe friday pffft cursed country
