But you said it yourself, their 3 singles sold around million copies which isn't exactly amazing so I don't see the point. They will be squashed by streaming every time.

If the new album will be out this year, maybe only one major single will be released. If the record label will back up the upcoming single big time, they may be looking for Hello My Love streaming history. Remember it peaked on its third month on the Spotify UK chart, it didn't peaked on its premiere week. It was moving upwards but they released a new single that's why they left its inclusion in the playlists behind. With the month of September coming and Xmas songs coming around November, a September single release might be the planned scenario for them so they'll have time to widely promote it because of their history, their song needs time to heat up. Also remember with Hello My Love, they formally announced it two days before its release so anything is possible at this point

Read this on Twitter:

Westlife talked to Zoe about their new album and new single ahead of their performance for Radio 2 Live. They say they were more involved with this album than they have been with previous albums in terms of songwriting, and say the new single is uptempo and will be released soon!

Not too long, plans for a video shoot they said. Quite uptempo, brilliant record  :cheer:

Here is the full interview and the performance: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000zvqf

I am very interested to hear the album considering they say they were more involved thanks to the pandemic. Watch them release a great album thanks to their involvement haha! I mean, Mark is right, there is no way they would have ever been able to record it from mobile studio if this hasn't happened.

Anyone can understand why Westlife are keeping so quiet? I mean if they plan to release an album in 2 months they should at least mention it for pre ordering… no music yet no dates no title of the album no artwork no pre ordering promotion.. i mean last album they started releasing singles 10+ months before and had 4 singles out. Also the artwork was released like 8 months prior… totally strange… i dnt really get it

I am with myxxd, I think they will focus on the lead single and then the album. If that is the case, then it is not weird we haven't heard anything considering they aim for November release.

I am sure the single will be out in a matter of weeks. As for pre-order, I thought it was a bit ridiculous that Spectrum had such a long pre-order period, that wasn't necessary.

Thats how it works nowadays. You offer something to get the people pre order if you want t chart high. Last time it was the meet and greet. Imagine spectrum had over 50k preorders and closed the week at 62k…. This year the competition is extreme…. We need the #1 album…

Didn't they have a pre-order when they announced Wembley gigs? Like you said, you have something to offer, I agree but they had that link too soon, hype was not that high by the time album was out. If they put a pre-order in October, that is perfectly fine. You worry too much, if the boys are at peace, we should be too😁

Do you guys think they will push back, forward, or will just stick to the original date of the release of the upcoming album?
They mentioned a few times 3 months so I am hoping they will stick to November but who knows. I am pretty sure everything is set up though, its just that we don't know yet.
It’s all a bit odd and maybe the new label are not backing them at all. Shame as with the right backing they could have had another successful album.

It is weird that they have a promotional slot in radio 2 but nothing new to be promoted. Maybe since their performance will be up on BBC til next month or more, it is kind of a building up of the promotion. A new strategy I guess since they can't use the comeback hype anymore. Also, they are very restricted talking about the new album you can tell. I just noticed just now as well there's no signed album and bundles since they announced the upcoming album last March. What's their plan?

Approaching October and no album / single / tour announcement, no music video arrangement.. this is not normal… i wonder what is going on/wrong…. I hope we dont get another bad announcement like being dropped again….

I decided not to worry about it, whatever happens, happens.

They did say they are making a music video though. Also, any tour announcement isn't really wise at the moment.

I don't see the point of not releasing the album by the end of the year though, when it is finished and they are shooting a music video for the first single. But who knows, maybe they will for the first time release an album in the first quarter of the new year.

Anyone can Record westlifes top 10 playing now on MtV?

Their sudden change of label is, in my opinion, not in a bad way most likely. I can give more explanation to that after they release their debut single to Warner. Maybe we can wait for it this October.

Louis recently said there'll be some change in music and new songwriters. You can see clues on who are some of those in Mark's Instagram.
