Crazy to think we are not going to get another single or video. The Starlight video was awful and it's starting to look like all they care about is touring money. Even small artists make the effort to make videos for fans. They literally come across like they couldn't care less anymore which is a real shame. Even Boyzone made a few videos per album! Disappointed

Its all about investment. The record company make their plans according to the profits. Starlight would have not sold 50k sales yet, imagine having to pay for their profucers writers video shooting editing and other expenses with such income. I dont think it has nothing to do with the band itself. If their singles were selling 500k they would deffinitely do more videos and singles and also put out some physicals too.

And u can understand that with their effort to put out an acoustic video for my hero, low budget, but still no impact unfortunaterly. Keep in mind that no tour is done the last 2 years, so no actual income

I get what you're saying but surely even low budget videos could be possible?

Steps are seeming to mange multiple singles/videos per album since they've been back and non of there singles would be certified silver.

Westlife did the same last album. I dont remember when was the last time they did 4 videos for an album, surely it was 20 years ago. But only half of them were decent sellers. I would expect doing 2 this time but considering the pandemic and no tours i can understand it.

Fair enough, though I still think it couldn’t be that hard to make videos on a budget. They don’t need to be extravagant just something simple for the fans. Get those few extra streams and views.

Totally agree, had i been their manager a lot of things would be different but probably they know better… apparently money moves it all

I don't get why you keep criticizing them that it looks like they don't care. They keep going on and on how proud they are of this album, how involved they were. I agree, its not on them, I'm sure they would like more singles but the videos cost money. Heck, even if we think Starlight video sucks, I am sure it cost money. You always seem so negative and you go down on them :)

Only singles or albums that are new entries or climbers are shown in the update - they haven’t been purposely left out they just don’t fall into either category.

So you mean to say this isn't actually a vendetta against Westlife?

#12 in the mids, didnt expect it to fall that much :/
#9 on sales of 3k so its a bit lower than this at #12. I was hoping to get silver this week but not happening. Shame cause i think its better album than spectrum all in all.
You think I'm being negative but I'm not, just a frustrated fan. It is better than Spectrum but that had 4 videos (3 good ones) and advertising. How can they expect sales to be as good when there is no effort.

Only 2 f the videos actually payed off, Hello My Love and Better Man. You have to look at it from the label's perspective and even pandemic crisis which wasn't the case in 2019. Why would they spend money on new videos when Starlight and My Hero basically flopped? That is how they think. They haven't toured in 2 years so there is no income there. Plus, its not like Spectrum had good sales after December, their every album is practically nowhere to be seen come January. I just think its pointless to expect something big from a 23 year old band.

They have income coming in from the tour that is guaranteed. The smallest acts can make half decent videos and get them out ON TIME these days.
Be that as it may, having Starlight video on time wouldn't have made any difference because there was no buzz surrounding their release, not like Hello My Love which was definitely fueled by the fact it was a first single after 7 years and maybe even the fact that Ed wrote it for them.
