New (limited) series from Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor creator and general all-round horror afficianado of the moment, Mike Flanagan, the plot details are pretty vague but seems to centre around the arrival of a new priest in a small town that brings many strange occurences.

 

 

 

I've seen the first episode and being honest, it was a little overly long and exposition-heavy, but I do find his series do often start that way before developing into something great, getting generally good reviews though and the seeds are certainly there so I'll stick with it.

I will be watching this. It's meant to be less scary and more character driven than the Haunting series and quite slow buring as you describe Chez. Getting amazing reviews!

Finished this now - this was some show. If you love great character development and strong themes then you will love this. There are some superb performances throughout, especially from the Priest. Really strong show, I loved some of the foreshadowing and whilst I guessed a few of the twists that happened, it was such a good show. That final monologue is absolutely harrowing just before the last 2-3 minutes.
