I can't get out to the cinema anymore, so I'm missing out on a host of blockbusters, but happily this Feel-good Video-game-based rom-com action-Groundhog-Day-ish/Family-friendly-Deadpoolish debuted on Disney after just a few weeks at the cinema. It's a solid 8/10, pushing 9/10, Ryan is always great in these sort of wise-cracking films, but he's engaging to boot, the concept is pretty good, and there's some great cameos from Chris Evans and Channing Tatum. Taika Watiti is perhaps too likeable to be a villain, but otherwise I think this will be a movie I come back to regularly when I'm in the mood for feel-good.

 

Well worth watching!
