2022 sees us reach 20 years of the Clubland brand which saw several releases through the All Around The World label (which itself had been going since the early 90s). The early to mid 00s brought Clubland right to the forefront of the dance music scene and set the charts alight with release after release. Of course, the essence of the brand has shifted a lot over the years, with a lot of people disheartened at their music output changing so much, but there's still a lot of love for the classics.

Here's a list of some of the acts that the brand brought to our attention:

Cascada

Scooter

Ultrabeat

Flip & Fill

Darren Styles / Styles & Breeze

N-Trance / Kelly Llorenna

Micky Modelle

Manian

The Blackout Crew

Groove Coverage

Milk Inc.

Recent releases in the 100% Clubland series have seen some of the popular tracks from over the years be showcased once again all in one place. Clubland TV is also still going strong as a music channel where others have fizzled out.

What are you favourite memories of the albums, the artists etc?

What are your hopes for them commemorating the anniversary?

I have compiled my own playlist which I add to as and when tracks become available / when I remember them. It features tracks from 2002 to 2013:

Clubland's official one mixes classics in with new releases on their label and Xploded which is a newer label from the AATW creators

I was a bit of a latecomer to Clubland, only really getting into it from 2006 when I bought Clubland 10 whilst on holiday. I'd heard the odd track in the charts from Scooter and Ultrabeat but I was a pop fiend until 2005 so when I started looking into it properly I quickly got on board. I'd say Cascada were the true driving force into my love of this type of music and I purchased Clubland 11, 12 and 13 on CD subsequently. The rest I downloaded on iTunes as CD popularity started to fade a bit, but I definitely noticed the distinct lack of 'Clubland-style' tracks appearing in the albums which made them less and less appealing.

I know 100% Clubland (the first one) pretty much captured everything in 2016 but I'd be down for another similar release and one I'd try and get on CD too.

This is definitely an underrated compilation series, I would have purchased many of these volumes second hand during the late 00's and early 10's. Some of the mixes were great and there are some outstanding songs featured in some volumes.

As it is now 2022, I wouldn't be opposed to an adhoc listenthough of the series on Synctube sometime if other dance fans want to.
