Pete Tong's rendition of Hans Zimmer's hugely popular Time becomes the 2nd track this year to debut at no. 1, the other being Happier Than Ever. Melodi Grand Prix (Norway) finalist IMERIKA released an uptempo song that debuts at no. 16, with Celebrate wrapping up top 20 sitting just within. MARUV is back with a bang while the rest of top 50 includes various genres, ranging from pop to electronic. Come Through remains at no. 2 as they give way to no. 1 debutant, while Illusion enters top 5 and Pink Rebel re-enters top 10. October 16, 20213 yr Author Number One Entry 6dE0a8nHHNA Becoming the 2nd no. 1 debut this year, Time instantly strikes me as the track of the year. Hans Zimmer's Time is such a "time"less tune (pardon my poor pun here) that you will not grow tired of it. It builds on 8 chords and the track varies and grows from these 8 chords, something akin to modern-day "Canon in D" (but the cellos won't get tortured). Klangkarussell most famously remastered this track with Ghostkeeper and now Pete Tong has his own EDM take on it and I think this is brilliantly produced! Second Highest New Entry BANhhzYrTW0 You might remember IMERIKA from Melodi Grand Prix earlier this year with her awe-inspiring ballad I Can't Escape. This time she ventures into more uptempo pop and this delivers, though not as instant as her aforementioned song. Biggest Jump 80aWwsv566c ASHWARYA is a booming artist this year and this is a mixture of her COMIN@ME and LOVE AGAIN. It captures the suddenly slower choruses from the former, while mixing with the expressive and sentimental lyrics and vibe from the latter. Both of them mix well together and there is more production in this song, though I love the nature of the lack of production particularly the synths in LOVE AGAIN. One to Watch 3fckhlxgCoY It's a well-produced banger in Danish! The chorus is memorable and the drop is very danceable. The instrumentation is fabulous and overall the production value is high. I hope to see a music video for this banger soon!

It is actually in Pete Tong's latest album but for some reason Tale Of Us comes first in the artist order but this Hans Zimmer rework is amazing! I agree Monster is probably Ryos better work and Revealed Recordings has been on fire lately so I won't be surprised if we will see a few of their latest releases in the top 50! Most of the EDM entries have made the bubbling under but seldom rise beyond top 50. Hi uhsting! Famous Last Words is a great unique song from James Blake and is pretty stunning, though it took quite some time to grow. I will have a listen this week to both James Blake's latest album and 22 Break. Maybe we will have more songs making top 50! Thanks Sergej!
