October 22, 20213 yr I have gone with Elton, though I think it will be very close. Haven’t really heard any buzz about new Lana this time and not expecting much from Biffy. Elton has had a resurgence even before Cold Heart with the Rocketman film, Step Into Christmas becoming a more prominent Xmas staple song and some of his recent features (Gaga, Y&Y, Lil Nas X), so there does seem to be more buzz about him now than there was at any time during the last decade. Not ruling Coldplay out but will be clearer when we have album sales today. I suspect they were very frontloaded, but if it has kept up respectable numbers each day (3.5K +) then it might hold on.
October 22, 20213 yr I think Elton will nab it, think he’ll clear 40k with Lana falling just short. 40k is a lot, I would risk 30k at most for him.
October 22, 20213 yr Elton has just added 1,000 UK only signed bundles so an extra 4,000 sales - https://store.eltonjohn.com/*/The-Lockdown-...NLY/76U31CU5000 I think both Elton and Lana will be pulling out a few tricks this week. Edited October 22, 20213 yr by ___∆___
October 22, 20213 yr I think this is Eltons to lose now I’d be surprised if it wasn’t him. Not yet 100% on who’ll sell more between Lana and Biffy but the sales between the top 5 should be decent. Hope Lana has a better chart run with this than what Chemtrails had though ^_^
October 22, 20213 yr Yeh was thinking even if the top seller isn’t as stellar as Coldplay hitting 6 figures this week there should be 5 albums that break 10k if not 15k which will be nice to see and a rare occurance outside of the December chart!
October 25, 20213 yr Author Lana easily. Well she's certainly not 'easily' leading today! 4.5k separating the top 4: 1. Elton John 2. Duran Duran (who just have a single vote here at the moment!) 3. Lana Del Rey 4. Biffy Clyro
