this was terrible!!! i was gonna say it seemed the film was made without human input by robots but it was so bad that even Asimo would have made a 5 star masterpiece in comparison to this.

however after the 'excitement' the covenant i'm thinking this might be one of those films on five US that people might get enjoyment out of its awfulness (unlike Mr Pistachio Disguisey) by shouting out loud all the obv things thats gonna happen next (think this is how my dad will watch the film!!!). everything so totally obv and random explosions/falling over etc etc etc signposted from miles away!!!

think everyone should take back whatever they said about the Ford Motor Co and their range of cars in Bond. tbh think Ford should sue the makers of this film for the scene where the Volvo gets totally damaged with a little hook. pisses all over their safety message!!!

this was on Saturday night for about the billionth time in a month on film4. my dad asked why is this one again and tbh if it was at the cinema tonight i would have watched it again!!!!

also after watching Happy Feet i suppose there some big ecological message i should say about using all that power for all those lights and no doubt if Mumble saw it he would probably say something like 'turn off the fricking lights man' (or 'wark wark wark wark wark' if you dont speak penguin!!!)

I like to watch The Great Escape at christmas. Maybe because I love history I don't know? It's such a sad film, but I love it.

I used to watch Miracle on 34th Street too. Can't think what else right now..

What's that one with Tim Allen in? There's a third film of it out this year, but the firstone was amazing :heart:.

The original 1974 "Black Christmas" is pretty eerie and terrific...

 

I generally dont like Christmas films because most of the time they are idealogically centred around commercialism and capitalism and have fundamentally very little to do with Christmas itself.....

Love Actually is the ultimate Christmas fluff, but Nightmare Before Christmas is the best film ever - not just Christmas-wise!

i suppose it was alright for that type of thing. however some parts were like being delayed at Heathrow for 24h!!! should have been more punchy and hyper! 2 star review in TF about right. but then again maybe devalued to a 1 star seing as Arrested Development is on the director's CV :o

and as Home Alone 2 was on last wk I think you'd now be better off seeing if the Goonies is being rpt on tv this xmas. it was on bbc2 about 3 months ag show should be due another airing :lol:

 

 

and talking on tv: fez!!! is he bulking up for CHiPs or were Xmas Pies on constant supply to get peeps in the mood for the shoot?? and bizarrely the accent is weirder than in That 70s show!!!

The Muppets Christmas Carol is a lot of nostalgic fun.

I watched the Santa Clause 3 today!

And it was okay, not aaamaazzzing. But that guy who was playing Jack Frost was pretty PHWOAR and had a nice head of hair <3
