Chart commentary: 14 new entries and 2 re-entries this week. This week we see the return of a top 10 entry, with Stupid Boy debutting at no. 4. We also see 3 more songs entering at a higher position than last week's highest new entry: a soft ballad, a drop-heavy EDM, and a power ballad. Elsewhere, we have a diverse range of new entries. Hengitä is going to confuse you for weeks with their approach to death metal and the music video. Mariah's Pop will give you some chuckles with their choice of instrumentation and vocal style (and the supposed meaning of the song too). Obviously, there are some nice new pop songs to accompany with!

 

AGAIN rises to no. 1, dethroning There Will Be Hope and denying Vega for a second week at no. 1. This week's top 10 is relatively exclusionary, with only 1 song below top 10 entering. This week is quite subdued with the jumps, with the highest jump being 12 positions higher, and it goes to the sensual Violence. Unfortunately, 8 new entries last week which are almost half of the number of new entries last week have exited the top 50.

Number One Entry

 

This ballad hits deep and his voice is sublime. The instrumentation is relatively minimal so that it doesn't take the attention away from the eminent vocals. I hope to see a music video soon!

 

Highest New Entry

 

I don't know what to say about this. This is blunt, unreserved, into-your-face. The buildup to the drop raises a lot of expectations for a massive drop and the drop does not disappoint with the choice of beat and instrumentation. The verses are amazing. This is an all-rounded track which should be able to rise further in the chart.

 

Highest Jump

 

This is industrial, reminds me of HATARI. However, if considered on its own, this is still quite an outstanding unique song. The instrumental breakdown at the end is phenomenal. The style might not be for all but we are here for uniqueness!

 

One to Watch

 

This has a totally different style than the above songs introduced. However, this is also unique on its own. This is purely instrumental but the instrumentation is out of this world. The song changes up every now and then, and I'm amazed at the sophistication of this song!

Hi John! RUFUS DU SOL is amazing and I Don't Wanna Leave hits right at the spot! Puppet for me sounds a lot better and less dull than Hero, so hoping it will grow more for me! Have a nice holiday!
