The single Patience (Polydor) has keep the Manchester lads at number one, even as festive releases begin to move up the chart. Booty Luv’s Boogie Tonight (Universal) digs in for its second week at number two, Gwen Stefani’s Wind It Up (Universal) is a new entry at three, and Eminem’s You Don’t Know (Universal), with 50 Cent and Lloyd Banks, is new at four. The week’s highest climber is Mariah Carey with All I Want For Christmas Is You (Sony BMG); a re-entry last week that has gone up fourteen places from 19-5. The song would be in the singles chart top 10 this week if the January 1 changes to chart eligibility rules were already in place. Elsewhere the Pogues jump 39-15 with Fairytale Of New York (Warner Music), while Slade chart at 26 with Merry Xmas Everybody (Universal).
