Bulgaria's got a supergroup involving Stoyan (of Elitsa & Stoyan), Ronnie Romero of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, and four more Bulgarian musicians.

 

And a pretentious name.

 

They've done a previous song together (below), but their entry is going to be called 'Intention'

I confused Intelligence Music Project with Intelligency, another rock band from Belarus

This will be the first Eurovision release of the year, out tomorrow!

Still doesn't feel right to have the first song drop before Festival i Kenges but somehow this year we'll have three confirmed entries by NYE 2021!

(I was prepared to write this off, really, but it's good)

It's fine, but sounds rather lackluster if you compare to the rock songs that smashed the scoreboard this year.

I'm not mad at this but its a bit basic.

I think ‘basic’ really is the word - like, it’s fine I guess and it doesn’t inspire any strong emotions one way or the other.

80s rock sound.

I actually really like it, it’s not amazing but it’s a solid track. wonder if there’s going to be a lot of rock this year after Måneskin winning last year !

It's too dull and nice for me :( It lacks an outstanding and memorable chorus like ZITTI E BUONI and Dark Side last year. I think this could be Bulgaria's first non-qualification in years.

I'm actually finding myself to quite enjoy this now. It's very very generic but I can't get the chorus out of my head

I dont dislike the song but it doesnt have anything stand out about it, could be a bad year for Bulgaria.

Bulgaria's delegation are being very shady on Twitter.

 

That appears to be Kristian Kostov, who is now the only person (rather than organisation) BNT Eurovision account is following, all traces of 'Intelligent Music Project' tweets have been deleted and something is happening on 15th March (also Kristian's birthday).

Oh okay I hadn't realised they'd deleted all mention of Intelligent Music Project from the socials - maybe they are making the tactical switch after all!

Ugh I quite liked IMP!

And now the tweets are deleted and they've unfollowed Kristian! :D

 

Love that whatever this was, it's pushed Bulgaria up to 3rd in the odds lmao
