Best driver: Max Verstappen

Worst driver: Lewis Hamilton

Best team: Red Bull

Worst team: McLaren

Best overtake: Ocon on Vettel and Gasly

Worst overtake: Hamilton on Alonso

Best moment: Alonso's team radio on Hamilton

Worst moment: Latifi forcing Bottas to avoid him and getting stuck in gravel

Best thing about the race: Verstappen's dry version of Schumacher's 1995 drive

Worst thing about the race: It was a one horse race

And the race in a sentence: Verstappen in a class of his own

Best thing of the race: Alonso calling Hamilton an idiot

Worst: much prefer the start of the season

When ferrari and red bull were more even

Now its too boring, the red bull is too good

Agree with a lot of the above.

Best driver: Max Verstappen

Worst driver: Lewis Hamilton for the crash / Latifi for lack of pace

Best team: Red Bull

Worst team: McLaren - strategy killed their chance of a point

Best overtake: Ocon on Vettel and Gasly (Vettel will regret overtaking Gasly before DRS zone!)

Worst overtake: Hamilton on Alonso

Best moment: Alonso's team radio on Hamilton

Worst moment: For me some later pit stops proved costly for drivers. Vettel lost a chance of 6th and Ricciardo went from 10th to 15th. Their team mates did not lose out…

Best thing about the race: Verstappen.

Worst thing about the race: Ferrari/Leclerc messing up again!

Max is driving well and will be a deserved champion at the end… but good god this year is getting really boring. It should be exciting to see a car come through to win from the bottom half of the grid yet instead it’s just an inevitability.
I'm amazed Latifi is still driving! can he do worse?

Of the 5 times Hamilton has retired on lap 1, 3 of those have occurred at Spa (2009, 2012 and 2022).

Agreed with Severin, we're now in Schumacher 2004 and Vettel 2013 territory.

Best driver: Verstappen

Worst driver: Latifi

Best team: Red Bull

Worst team: Haas

Best overtake: Ocon on Vettel and Gasly

Worst overtake: Leclerc on Alonso

Best moment: Leclerc getting a 5-second penalty for a seriously misguided pit stop

Worst moment: Hamilton/Alonso collision

Best thing about the race: It was a race

Worst thing about the race: Mixed up grid provided very little entertainment

And the race in a sentence: Max is mighty fine, he wins number 9!

Ferrari pitting Leclerc for fastest lap, not getting it and then receiving a penalty to drop him back a position pretty much sums up their season, quite funny.

Australian Oscar Piastri will drive for McLaren next year after Alpine lost their appeal to Formula 1's contract recognition board (CRB).

Alpine had lodged a claim with the board, a team of lawyers set up to adjudicate in contract disputes, after Piastri rejected their claim he was committed to them.

Will definitely go down in history as one of the most memorable contract sagas!

I'm very curious as to who gets the second Alpine seat now. I thought Danny Ric would be a natural fit back in but from what it sounds like Alpine aren't so keen on him.

Best comment about the video where Max revealed he's still a virgin.

"There's no way Max is still a virgin, he's been f***ing the entire field all season!"

Gasly to get the second seat?

At this point the only reason to win the CRB case was just to ransom the snake back to them.

Honestly f***ing loathe McLaren and have done for so long

I’m not sure I want the money badger back. Gasly would be interesting for the potential absolute chaos off track

think it's gonna be Gasly going to Alpine... but could be a potential bomb cos Ocon and Gasly kinda hate each other I believe

Ocon has publicly stated he wants Schumacher in the car, which sounds like a poor choice for the team but given how badly they're being run right now (off track at least) I wouldn't put it passed them.

Smart money certainly seems to be on Gasly at Alpine, with Ricciardo to Haas or Williams

And the race in a sentence

He's earned a 10 place grid drop for the reprimand he received for driving with loosened sealtbelts. It's his 5th reprimand of the year.

Yuki had a problem with the differential that felt like a loose wheel. He was loosening his belts so he could exit the car when team ordered him to continue. After the stop they realised the problem was terminal if ignored.
